Remote central locking intermittant fault

Post by raceytrace »

Hi everyone. I have just bought a 54 plate 206 cc Allure which I am delighted with. Only problem I have is with the remote control on the central locking. I have no problem locking the car with the remote fob but when I return to the car an hour or so later I cant open it, I have to open it with the key. This sets the alarm off but then I can reset the alarm using the remote fob. It happens with both sets of keys so it must be the car. I have changed the battery and reprogrammed the key as instructed in the manual.Once the car has been opened it car be locked and opened endlessly it is only a problem when the car has been left for a while. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Two posts actually tenpole. I deleted the other post. If you google him/her you will see his banal comments on other forums too.
