Forum Rules

Post by Lyndon »

This forum is in place to provide help and information to owners and prospective owners of the peugeot 206cc. It is owned and run by the members and enthusiasts for the mutual benefit of owners of the marque. Here at peugeot 206cc we work hard to ensure your time on this forum is as enjoyable as possible - in return we ask that you, the user, where necessary, abide by the rules set out below.

Bad Mouthing of Other Communities

Due to the circumstances resulting in the creation of this forum, it is a strict policy of this forum, that any abusive or defamatory comments concerning any other online community will not be tolerated.

Any posts made which may bad mouth another online community will be removed, and the author may be banned from using these forums in future.

Any occurrences of this should be brought to the attention of a Moderator or Administrator immediately.

Posting Guidelines

You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only harmful to our community and its members, but legal actions can and may be taken against you.

Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify a Moderator for the forum the topic was posted in immediately. We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realise that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy extends to member profile information as well.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum, and any related websites to this forum. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you. You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. You agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.

3 Strike System

Unfortunately due to the openness of this forum, we will always attract users who may, for whatever reason, not wish to abide by the spirit of this community or the rules laid out above. In order to control this, and keep the forums well mannered for all, we have in place a three strike system. This allows offenders the opportunity to "reform" and provide a positive contribution to our community before further action is taken.

Stage 1 - This is the lowest form of warning. This can be issued as a general warning to a member due to breach of forum rules.

Stage 2 - This is a second stage warning. If a Stage 1 warning has been issued and the member continues to be in breach of the rules, then user account suspension for a period of time may be introduced.

Stage 3 - Total Ban. Repeated abuse of Stages 1 and 2 will lead to a total ban on these forums.

As a general rule, the three strikes will be applied in order, however the team reserve the right to move to any individual stage at any point given how seriously we view any individual infraction of the rules or community spirit. This can include a move straight to level 3 with a permanent ban.

Please be constructive in your posts and help make the site an ongoing success for all of our benefit.

Make Yourself Familiar

Please take some time to acquaint yourself with the forum layout and try to post in the correct sections of the forum.

Articles for sale must only be placed in the relevant section. Articles appearing in any other section will have the posts removed immediately. Any articles that are deemed unlawful or not genuine will result in the suspension of the post until such time as the author can prove a genuine sale, or legality of the article. The posting of non genuine articles, and or illegal material will result in a total ban from the forums, and any relevant information passed to the authorities if deemed appropriate

The co-operation of the ownership community makes this work, and that in turn will benefit all 206cc owners and enthusiasts.

The Moderators reserve the right to modify, move or delete any posts that are deemed unsuitable for the forum. Furthermore the Moderators reserve the right to remove any forum user's access to the forum and/or delete all of his/her posts. This may be done without consultation or recourse.

The Moderators or Forum Administrators/Hosts bear no liability for any matter posted on the forum.
