We've only got E5 and soon to get E10 in the UK ... and E10 is going to cause some older cars problems ..

E10 is destructive to some rubber hoses, seals and other important stuff in the fuel system!

Fake news as the old US president would say.
Question:
How much ethanol is in E10 fuel?

Ok, it's "up to 10%", which is splitting hairs, because you have to cater for the worst case.

Hi,
Yes, up to 10%.

I always add Alcohol to my tank when I see it available cheap.
Never a problem. Helps remove water from fuel.
I really do not worry about E10 in my cars.
Cheers,
Iain.

Hi Spitfire, the alcohol helps to remove the water by turning it to acid, though my experience of running cars on Cleveland Discol in the 60's never gave any additional corrosion problems - and there were a lot of them in those days (most vehicles being positive earth didn't help matters. imo).
