2004 wing mirror

Post by adamwills1982 »

Hi all,
My first post and second cc. The first one had a deadly electrical fault.
I need to replace the passenger side wing mirror and was wondering if the standard 206 part would fit as they're a lit easier to source.

Many thanks in advance.

They are not a direct fit, but I have seen a post that it is possible to modify them, I think by swapping the mounting part from the 206CC version onto the 206 replacement.

If you can get them apart .. after a few years the metals corrode making the screws impossible to remove.

Tracking own someone breaking a CC in fleabay might be one way of finding one ..

If this is still a live issue, prise off the tweeter panel and check the connector to the mirror. There are two types; one with three rows of three pins, and one with two rows of five.

Mine (2005) has the latter and I got a new complete replacement from Eurocarparts which fitted perfectly.

TIPS: Do not drop a securing bolt into the hole between the door and the card, or you will have to take the card off to get it back, Ask me how I know  Block the hole temporarily with a rag.

I did not use the supplied self-tapping screws, but used the original bolts. Before fitting, it helps to screw the bolts into the mirror to cut the threads.
