Ordered my black 2.0 on Sep 8 and arrival on Nov 14, and picked up the CC manual a few days later. So just like to share some views of my almost-a-month ownership:

-compared to my Subaru Legacy GTB this car is much stiffer and the steering is quite heavy.

-pick up is quick but isn't quite willing to go over 90km/h

-when traveling on high way speed with driver's side window down completely, shoulder will be thrased by seat belt with wind blowing in.

-windstop is a must have my hair doesn't even move an inch with the top down and windows up, it feels more like a really big sunroof.

-no problems so far, only noise from driver's side window when closed, guess some grease will make it go away.

-stere's sound is only okay, and now trunk mounted CD changer has occupied a bit of space for windstop storgae.

-when closing, the roof hits the A-pillar with quite a noise, is this normal?

-I know this is no where near an Audi or Lexus but at least put some carpet to cover all those wires and stuff at the back of the trunk.

-we don't get options like automatic lights/wiper and folding mirrors here, would love to have these though.

Overall it's a joy to ride in my CC and will put on more stuff along the way, cheers!!!

well a big welcome to CC World

The loud bang when the roof hits the A pillar is normal unfortunatley.

The bit you mentioned about wires not covered worried me. The only wires visible on my car are the ines the follow the hinge on the boot lid.

Can you send me a photo as it sounds like you may have some trim missing.

Hi,

try this -

1. When you close the 2 catches for the roof. they make a loud
slamming sound. I stuck 2 pieces of felt with a sticky back ( i
bet some rubber would do the same trick) to the point where they
hit against the black catch
now they make no noise!
still haven't figured how to dampen the sound when i open them
they make a very loud cracking kind of sound, can anyone help?

2.my left side windows rattled with them up and the roof down
so i got a box of vaseline and smeared it on all the rubber
joints in the car, waited a bit and wiped them clean. The ones
between the windows, the one on the top of the rear window with
the roof half way done, the window guides in the roof, the one
around the bottom of the rear window with the roof half done etc
now i can drive with the windows up roof down and no noise
and with the roof i up i used to hear this rubber rubbing
against somethng sound
now it's gone!

3. the clock on mine used to dim when i turned the headlights
on, but it was a bit too dark
turns out there is a light blue wire going to it, unplug it and
it stays on full power all the time

Hope this helps

if you hate the orange glow of the clock etc, you can change this by changing the plastic colour filter behind each unit.

Not expensive and easy to do. See the DIY section on http://www.ccfreun.de (use babelfish to translate to English)
