Sounds right ... type your reg into an online tyre dealer like blackcircles or mytyres and it will tell you.
If steering is heavy check they are correctly inflated and then you power steering fluid is topped up. Also make sure the auxiliary belt is not slipping as this powers the steering pump (aux belt is the one you can see at the left of the engine).
After than it's checking the suspension and steering rack, etc.
