Right Hand Side Driveshaft Removal

Post by jumpingmattflash »

Hiya,

As part of operation replace clutch, I'm trying to remove the right (drivers) side driveshaft.

Following the haynes manual i've disconnected the outer end from the wheel hub and its freely waving about. I've then loosened the bolts round the intermediate bearing and turned them 90 degrees as per haynes to get them out of the way.

The problem is no amount of wd40, prodding or tapping is getting either the intermediate bearing or the end of the driveshaft nearest to the transmission moving. Any ideas?

Short of getting a pry bar and going at the gap between the intermediate hub and it's carrier i'm out of ideas.

Thanks, Matt
