ABS Fault
Hi Had a glorious week of warning free driving having fixed airbags then had an ABS warning light come on. Have run Pug Planet on it and it says it is the front left sensor . This thinks I am doing 255 km/h wen I am stationary. Stupid question but can I assume left means the passenger side??

Re: Winter sleigh
Lots of prestige 4x4's have low profile run flat tyres. These are rubbish in the snow. I had to pull a BMW X5 out of a ditch with my old Kia Sportage (manual low ratio box and knobbly tyres. :D I have winter tyres on my PUG 4007 4x4 which are amazing. Tread is designed to hold the snow in and they s...

It would appear that your CC is defying the laws of Physics. I would just settle for water tight.

leak from drivers side
Hi, I have an annoying leak from the drivers side roof seal at the front. Tried to lubricate the rubbers with silicon grease but this hasn't helped. The weird thing is that the water does not tend to come through when the car is sat. It is when driving and you brake at which point a spurt of water c...

Re: Low Riding Rear
It's a bit like my PUG 4007. Aha here's a good idea put all the clips for the pipework for the turbo with the screws facing downwards or into other bits of engine. :? Yes I know it's dead easy to fit them like this when you are in the factory but that's no consolation to me when swapping a turbo pip...

Re: Low Riding Rear
What I don't understand is the reason for the whole washer arrangement thing. I supposedly allows a bit of float. But as my torsion bars were a very tight fit with the splines I don't see the point!!

Re: Low Riding Rear
BTW the measurement from the lowest point on the bumps stop plate to the back of the wheel arch which is a straight edge was 220mm. The previous setting I had it at was 185mm so raised it 35mm.

Re: Low Riding Rear
So Decided to bite the bullet today and re-index the rear suspension to a bit nearer to factory settings. Friend gave me a hand. Started at 9.15 and by 10.30 we had everything apart. Had re-indexed the ride height and fitted two new shock-absorbers. Homeward straight?? Not flipping likely  . Th...

Re: Lubricating rubber seals and what not to do!!!
I suspect that the problem occurred because I am on drive with a slope and the car is nose down. Hence the boot lid would fall due to gravity . I would have thought however that it would lock in position till roof movement was completed. I got the warning beeping to say I had stopped mid flow. This ...

Lubricating rubber seals and what not to do!!!
So I had had a small amount of water come through the front rubber seal when the car was parked nose up on our sloping drive. Nose down seems OK. The seals felt a bit dry so I got some lubricant and opened the roof to a point where I could get to all the rubbers. Lubricated them fine then realised t...

Re: Fuel leak
Thank you very much that is really useful. The vent is there I presume to vent any gas build up in the head of the tank. It looks like it actually vents near the top of the filler pipe. A split in pipe 4 does seem like a good bet. Will get wheel and arch cover off and have a look.
