Re: What did you do to your CC today?!

Got a flat tire on my new motor, unbeknown to me iv'e inherited bloody locking wheels nuts on it too and as per usual no key, after a couple of minutes of some harsh driving with the rest of the wheel nuts removed it was still solid. 37218031_10157665858567222_2397236859550826496_n.jpg Introduced it...

Re: Boot light always on?

Its a tilt switch that sits near to the brake light in the boot lid.

Have someone open the roof and look inside the boot when the lid opens,
as it tilts the opposite way like this there's no way it should be on.

Re: Roof/windows won't go up

You only get the "bong" when you open the latches to open the roof, and when the roof has finished closing to let you know its done. It will be a faulty switch not actuating to tell the roof if its completed a stage or not. On a side note the roof switch will open all 4 windows to lower bu...

Re: Under seat wiring.

Have you got pp2000 and the proper diag machine? Without it you are probably just wasting your time and could actually trigger the system to fire :!: Most airbag faults are because of the comm2000 thing which houses the indicators and wipers as it has a spool that operates like a tape measure. Turn ...

Re: Variable Steering Wheel Stiffness - New Pump

Yes it was an option, i've just bought a 2003 2.0 16v thats got it and my 2002 2.0 thats now off the road permanently has it too. However the OP seems to have a 1.6 and i'm not sure about that spec. Untitled-1.jpg I mentioned it because the OP has driven it with a broken drive belt which will have p...

Re: Variable Steering Wheel Stiffness - New Pump

I've not had this problem with my 206 but I had a 605 with variable power steering for years that used to do exactly what you described. This is almost certainly down to the rack itself or the pinion part where the magic happens anyway. It contains a very complex system of clever valves and seals th...

Re: Bottom wishbone issues

For future reference and sorry to the op as i've only just seen this but if you put spring compressors on the struts to squash the springs on the strut it will allow you to easily remove the bottom arm as it will lift up, you have to leave the top connected for this to work and space is limited but ...

Re: Roof won't close - three note warning tone

Not that I've noticed, why? The boot lid is monitored and will affect roof operation over 8mph. That switch inside the boot lid is a tilt switch and its just for the boot light. Sounds to me like its the boot latch switches, the second photo is blank but im guessing its supposed to be the latch in ...

Re: Roof won't close - three note warning tone

while driving with it down I start getting a warning tone of three rising notes in a row - kicks in at about 10mph. When I then come to a stop and try to raise the roof, it doesn't move and just makes that same three note beeping sound. Does your speedo work properly? Does the needle ever jump slig...
