Re: 12V lighter power by ignition switch
Hi Artemis, Thanks for the excellent pointers regarding pigybacking on the cigar lighter. This info should be used as a guide for anyone thinking of doing such thing. However, for my plans, I was thinking or removing the lighter completely (THIS IS A NONSMOKING CAR) and powering a simple Bluetooth h...

Re: Rattling boot lid
@gazza82, Already did that, and it does fix it. Them issue is simply that the sheets of metal that were initially glued together are now separated and when they flex they rattle. But I will check if I can buy some of the proposed glues (Sikaflex or 3M™ Scotch-Weld™) Also possible solution can be doo...

Re: Rattling boot lid
@IanL, that might require sanding the paint which I would like to avoid. Also, the quantity would be enough for just one joint, while the lid would require 7 (or 14) glue joints. Additionally, the old glue as far as I can see was a bit rubbery, probably to provide some flex betwen the two parts. I'v...

Rattling boot lid
My 206cc has a strange rattle in the boot lid whenever I go over a rough road or bumps. I partially traced the issue to the part where the lid metal is connected with the strengthening brace under the lid. there are traces of silicone glue that held the two together but the bond has loosened. Questi...

Driver side leak from roof joint
Hi All, My "new" 206cc has developed a small leak on the driver side (that would be the left side in my case) it is not a big leak, about 1 espresso cup during an overnight rain. I wanted to try the silicone grease fix recommended in other posts but I ca not find a local product and the na...

Re: Kicking feel when releasing the clutch
Thanks,
will schedule a checkup of the engine mounts, hope it will not be a costly replace.

Kicking feel when releasing the clutch
My 206cc 2.0 feels like a kick in the engine bay on releasing the clutch in 2nd and 3rd gear.
It does not happen if I release the clutch very slowly.
Could this be an engine mount issue?

12V lighter power by ignition switch
Hi All,
I just bought a 2001 206cc 2.0. I noticed that the lighter socket is powered all the time, regardless of ignition switch.
I plan to power some audio options through the socket and would like to change it to work only with ignition ON. Any experience or ideas?
