That first code is usually coil pack. (although crank sensor could also cause this) Try changing coil pack first

It's only used as a confirmation incase anything moves without you noticing

Best way is from the top. Remove battery, air filter housing and pipework and that will give you space to remove starter. Most of the job has to be done by feel, especially wiring.

Or even a duff new bulb. It does happen
