Re: Cracked sump. Help?

If you want it straight from the horse's mouth (i.e. Peugeot Service Box), post the last eight digits of your VIN. Thanks. It's 44255364. I've registered for a persona Peugeot Service Box account but I get no access to anything. I also tried again with a second Assistance and First Aid account as I...

Re: Cracked sump. Help?

Thanks for that. I've got it down to 0301 J5 too after more digging. The engine's an EW10J4/RFN/S16 and this sump fits the description as far as I can ascertain.

Anyone changed one on the CC? It has various things attached including aircon compressor.

Cracked sump. Help?

Wifey thought she could drive straight out of her parking spot in the co-op car park this morning, so off she went. Would've been fine except for the high kerb surrounding a piece of footpath in front of her which she omitted to see, so the result was predictable. The sump is well and truly cracked ...

Re: Aircon freon pipe

Slo, when you say replace the crimp, do you mean whilst it's on the car and connected to the condenser spigot, or a repair on the pipe joint itself?

Re: Aircon freon pipe

it's leaking at the top connection where the pipe pushes onto the 90º alloy condenser outlet. It's a possibility I'd not considered, so I'll look at that. Cheers.

Re: Aircon freon pipe

Hope you removed the nettles then. Unfortunately, they had every permutation except the one I needed so I'm back to square one.

Re: Aircon freon pipe

If it helps, I visited Roger Windley breakers yard in Tattershall, Lincolnshire, about a month ago. They had at least half a dozen CCs in their yard being broken. Are you kidding me?? :o I'm literally on the way out the door to them right now!! I'm only about 10 miles from Tattershall and they do i...

Aircon freon pipe

I need a new freon pipe to replace one which is leaking. Part no. is 6460HG and it's £84 from the dealer :o. I can't source one anywhere else including fleaBay etc. and am now thinking about pulling one off a breaker. Anyone happen to have one or know where I can get one? Thanks.

Re: boot central locking

What this does now is power the boot solenoid in both directions with the doors, instead of only locking as before. Big thanks from me for the post & pics. Did the wiring yesterday and connected this morning. Bingo! :big-grin: Kudos coming your way particularly from my missus who has found the ...

Re: Boot electric connector: central locking chirps & bounce

Its the boot open/alarm latch switch. With it disconnected the lock should still work ok but the plastic actuator usually wears out because its under considerable spring tension so you get false boot open alarms on the dash information screen and the alarm going off at random. It will also make the...

Boot electric connector: central locking chirps & bounces

After stripping out the boot carpet & underlay today on my 2005 206CC, I discovered a multiplug near to the boot central catch which was disconnected from its feed. The boot has never worked with the central locking. I connected it and now when locking with the fob, there's a chirp followed by t...
