Changing oil
I recently changed the oil in my engine but when it came to replacing the oil filter I couldn't get the black plastic nut undone. Is there a special knack to it?? I even tried swearing at it but that didnt work. Any ideas anyone? ????

Whilst changing ancillary drive belt on my 206cc (tu5jp4 engine) I noticed red fluid on parts of engine beneath the power steering pump. Anyone know where I should start to find the culprit??? Just wondering and probably stating the obvious but I assume number 1 plug is the one nearest to timing belt.

Just an update to oil in plugs. It would appear that some ham fisted person has spilt oil into the valley between the cams. The engine has been run for 20 mins and no sign of oil arround the plugs. Phew

Hey I like the second scenario would make my job easier. The plugs are out so I am assuming that the oil will have drained into the combustion chamber. I may not have mentioned it but I have no mechanical expertise but am determined to learn so thank you for your assistance. I refuse to be a helples...

Oil in sparkplug columns
Went to change the sparkplugs today and when I took the old plugs out they were covered in oil. Buggar. Does this mean taking head off to fit new deals. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks gazza82 as luck will have it I have ordered bosch plugs and new filters. I have found out that the whistling sound coming from engine is a tensioner pulley. I have ordered a removal tool but also mentioned is asetting rod for the dynamic roller. Do I need to source one of these????

Hi once again have had diagnostics done and fault codes showing are; P1327, P1336, P1338 and just to be different U1118. Hopefully these will make sense to someone.
