Changing oil

I recently changed the oil in my engine but when it came to replacing the oil filter I couldn't get the black plastic nut undone. Is there a special knack to it?? I even tried swearing at it but that didnt work. Any ideas anyone? ????

Re: Hello from Denmark Western Australia

Just an update to oil in plugs. It would appear that some ham fisted person has spilt oil into the valley between the cams. The engine has been run for 20 mins and no sign of oil arround the plugs. Phew

Oil in sparkplug columns

Went to change the sparkplugs today and when I took the old plugs out they were covered in oil. Buggar. Does this mean taking head off to fit new deals. Any advise would be appreciated. Re: Hello from Denmark Western Australia

Thanks gazza82 as luck will have it I have ordered bosch plugs and new filters. I have found out that the whistling sound coming from engine is a tensioner pulley. I have ordered a removal tool but also mentioned is asetting rod for the dynamic roller. Do I need to source one of these????
