Re: Camshaft sensor location help

On the few modern engines I've looked at it is usually behind the inlet cam gear ... and under those black plastic covers

Find the timing belt and you find the gears

Re: Advice Please?

Diesel? Seen the price of a gallon recently? I'm also of the opinion that HM Government are going to target the oil burners for higher taxes after having been misled for years by the scientists and experts that say these are "cleaner" than petrol vehicles.

CC Phase 2 Rear Lights

We removed these before we traded Kermit in a few years ago and I've just found them lurking in a corner of the garage. 1648396731297.jpg These are the later Phase 2 lights which, imho, look a lot nicer than the earlier "split-lense" type. £50 the pair plus p&p but shipping only to UK.

Re: 206cc 2.0 - Rear Brake Pads change tool

Like a lot of manufacturers Peugeot didn't always use the same type of calipers on the rear .. and so pads are also often different and not swappable either. :( The calipers on our 2001 CC had wind-in pistons but even then the normal tool didn't work too well as the bracket used to rest the plate of...

Re: 206cc s16 exhaust to manifold clamp access.

Ages since I did one but I managed from underneath .. get it up as high as you can, but obviously safely. I think I may have stuck each stand on a paving slab too to jack it up a bit higher.

Re: The Dreaded Bleep

ours started beeping when over 5mph and it turned out that the connector in the boot lid had pulled apart ... you will need to remove the boot lid liner to check

(actually it started beeping when I converted the upper brake light unit to an LED one and the loom was given a little extra tug  )

Probably when the car has one (to sell it!) but it's blatently obvious it should have failed miserably ... our CC had one as the brakes were shot, tyres worn out, suspension arms/balljoints worn ...

Re: MOT Fail - Big Problem

Thanks Gazza. I'll have a look at these. Something's bothering me though. I used to dabble with cars in my teenage years so did learn a bit about them. I don't go far in the car, usually as far as the local supermarket, about a 2 mile round trip and twice a month an 8 mile round trip to my music te...

Re: Residue on Headlight

Read it again .. trying to remove the residue has damaged the perspex lenses ..
Turned out the glass cleaner he used ate the surface of my headlights as they were made of perspex not glass
