Re: Lights, bells, and whistles.

You need Peugeot Planet and the "dongle" (usually called LEXIA). From Peugeot it costs an arm and a leg, but Chinese clones are available (eg EBay) and usually include the software. It is not easy to install (hint - do not plug the USB plug into the PC until prompted, or the drivers will n...

Re: Airco cold, warm, cold, warm etc

Well, that is quite a surprise.

I have heard of magnets spontaneously changing their polarity, so. if the motor is a permanent magnet type, be aware that it could change back!

Re: passenger side leak, from Heater?...

I switch off the garage illumination, and hold an LED torch as far behind the bottle as I can manage. Then move my head up and down till I can just see the level.

Just thought, it might work better with one of those flat LED lamps you get on EBay with wooly hats.

Re: Can the esp/asr function be turned off in com 2000??

Assuming the original part required no special configuration, the replacement should work without error. If not, it may be that just a BSI reboot will be required. Alternatively, you may have to perform the configuration exercise with Peugeot Planet (or have a dealer or another owner with the hardwa...

Re: Can the esp/asr function be turned off in com 2000??

I think you may be mistaken in thinking that disabling ESP/ASR would remove the indication. The indication is arising because the display logic is receiving erroneous data due to the wrong COM2000 being fitted. Presumably, the display logic appropriate to the COM2000 you have would not do this. Bear...

Re: Can the esp/asr function be turned off in com 2000??

The ESP has an on/off switch on the dash, to the right of the ignition switch. It connects to the BSI, but not the COM2000. I assume it is a simple contact switch, so it could be turned off in the BSI, but why not just use the switch?

Use Peugeot Planet to access stored fault code(s), or get a Peugeot dealer to do it.

The Roof ECU in the boot, behind the trim along the front wall. Make sure the plug is well-seated in the socket.

Just give the plug a good push into the ECU to make sure it's seated properly. It has happened to quite a few.

That, or the butterfly actuator, or the circuit between them.
