Re: Brake problem
That garage sounds pretty dodgy and unprofessional. After working on brakes, they should have done a road test, discovered the problem and fixed it. It may just need bleeding.

Re: Earth lead part numbers please
There are three listed: NEGATIVE CABLE 5638 L8 MARKING 9657580080 9657579980 - BVM 5638 L7 MARKING 9656326480 - BVA 96 748 573 80 01 - BVM5 I think BVA= auto transmission and BVM5 = 5 speed manual. BVM = ??? Alternatively, an auto electrician could make one up by copying yours - might be cheaper tha...

Re: Roof issues
This problem has already been covered in the Roof section of Problems (rather than Electrical). The problem is often caused by dirt in the roof catch microswitch contacts. The first thing to try is to spray the roof catches at the top of the windscreen pillars with contact cleaner (NOT WD40, which i...

Re: Peugeot 206 2l HDI help
Goeiemore. If you post the colours of the three plugs, and how many pins each has, I can probably tell you where they go, by reference to the SEDRE (computer-based wiring diagrams).
Don't bother with the wire colours, as they are not documented.

Re: Inertia/Fuel Cut Off Switch
It does not appear in the wiring diagrams, so I assume it is not electrical. I've trawled through the Parts diagrams, and it is not identified as a replaceable item, so it must be included in something else. My guess is it's the cylindrical object shown below Part #4, and incorporated in the pipewor...

Re: Boot warning
Assuming the boot lid catch is working correctly (not allowing the lid to bounce), it is probable the micro switch for the boot lid is out of adjustment. Switch F here.
EDIT : Alternatively, the wiring for the microswitch is dodgy, causing intermittent contact.

Re: ROOF NOT OPENING - NO BEEP
There are two possibilities I can think of. Either (1) the microswitch in one or both catches is not conducting because of dirt, or not opening because it is stuck, or (2) the voltage to detect what position the switches are in is not being provided because the Roof ECU is defective, or there is a w...

That tool looks like a brake piston spreader, so not wind back but push back. Lots on Ebay quite cheap.

Re: Manual pages
The manual is an incomplete copy of the Peugeot Service Box "Backup Documentation". What you want is access to the complete thing, so all the links will work. There are two ways i know to get it. One is to go to https://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/pages/index.jsp , register as an indepen...

Re: The Dreaded Bleep
Afaik, the only way to test and pinpoint IS with Planet, so you would need to buy the interface (Chinese copy) and install under Win XP SP3 - you can do this with a Win 10 laptop by using a Virtual Machine (I use VMWare Workstation Player - free for non-commercial use). Downside - there is a learnin...

Re: Engine not starting
Thanks for your reply. Is the air pressure/temperature sensor a part of the maf??? It does not have a MAF sensor. The full title of the item is inlet air pressure/temperature sensor. By measuring the pressure of the air downstream of the throttle, and its temperature, the mass flow rate of the inle...

Re: Engine not starting
Starting requires motion, fuel and spark. If it is turning over briskly, then it must be fuel or spark. Check you have fuel pressure and spark. If so, suspect the inlet air pressure/temperature sensor, which determines the mixture.
