Re: Stolen recovered car

I'll pour in my two cents for what it's worth...Firstly, i have no idea how much you paid for the car but as it's an auction and with the issues you describe, i'm going to go ahead and assume it was pretty cheap. There are a couple of things to consider if you wish to proceed down the swap route...f...

Re: Door adjustment?

Hi Ian, I did compare the gap on both the doors and it looks the same to me. I'm not sure about the window adjustment as I haven't had time yet to take off the door trim and have a play, but I'm as sure as I can be that the fix I need is to move (somehow!) the window backwards roughly 2mm to create ...

Re: Door adjustment?

Ok, quick update. My father-in-law wanted to have a look at this problem and whilst showing him he asked for a little walk-around. Whilst doing this I noticed that the drivers window is not as far back towards the rear of the car) as the passenger side is. This means that on the passenger side, when...

Re: What did you do to your CC today?!

Fitted shiny new Group N gear linkages to try and get rid of my on-going issues in that area. Ordered a new, lighter battery ready for the winter. Trying to stop myself selling it in frustration!!!

Door adjustment?

Hi all, sorry for my recent absence but was a busy summer and the constant problems with Lizzie finally got to me and so I took a bit of a break from it and just drove the wife's Volvo for a bit :rotfl: Finally got a bit of drive to get some more of the needed work done and so I'm back for some more...

Re: Is it easy to adjust a window?

Ian, could you clarify this striker as I believe I have the issue of the window not being "in " far enough.

Re: JBL factory fit speakers

I'm not sure about the loom, but I seem to remember that even if you plug in the sub, it won't function without enabling it in PP2000.

Re: Door cracking noise

If you haven't already carried out this repair, when you go to remove the door card, don't forget to remove the door handle surround otherwise it will go flying when yo go to remove the card. Also, when re-fitting refer back to the passenger door to ensure the top seats correctly in the weather strip.

Re: Tail pipe for 206cc

You have several choices depending on how much you want to spend. You can get a full stainless system fitted This has the advantage of slightly improving performance if you get the right one with an improved flow-through and will also get rid of a possible future rust refuge! Your second option is t...

Re: Roof won't close - three note warning tone

May i ask the following and suggest something? When the roof refuses to go down, has the boot been opened? By that i mean have you used the key to physically open the boot lid before the roof fails to operate? If this is the case, and maybe if it isn't as well, when you get the warning and the roof...

Re: Urgent advice needed...please help!

Thanks Col, I kinda had the same feeling...i.e 'It's not too bad but needs a look at'. I have 2 options I guess : A - The bodyshop quoted approx 250 quid to seal it. Whilst they didn't use the name 'Waxoyl' it certainly looked and smelled like the same type of thing to me. The only issue I have with...
