I hope that's all it is. It did vent a sizeable puddle
Is there some sort of vent system at the top of the filler pipe?

Had the car for a couple of months. My wife was planning on going for a long journey tomorrow so filled the car to the very top. Paid for fuel and when came back saw puddle of fuel on floor plus strong smell of petrol. :o Looks like there is a leak at the top of the tank or the filler tube. Is this ...

Re: Heater control lighting (manual unit)
It was supposed to be a nice simple job as I have just had a knee operation and am getting very bored. Not supposed to be doing anything. Got caught out when my wife came back to find the car in bits again.

Heater control lighting (manual unit)
The lighting behind my heater controls was very dim and only on the left hand side. So using my second hand 206 Haynes Manual I set to to do this simple job.!!! What an absolute pig. Removing radio and dash was straightforward enough. I unscrewed control panel and flipped it over expecting removable...

Re: rear window broken, raise door window?
Now you mention it I should have thought of that as on a couple of occasions the rear one has not completed but the front has finished. At that point the rear wont work till they are both lowered.

Re: rear window broken, raise door window?
I presume that there is a microswitch that tells the computer system that the window is raised. If you can find this and close the contact the front window should raise. This is likely to be built into the raising mechanism somewhere.. You might have to plug the motor back in.

Re: New connects 2 adaptor review
Have just done this same job. When I bought the car it had a Sony stereo ( MEX-N4100BT) fitted but the steering wheel controls did not work. Purchased the connect unit linked here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DS-PG006-Steering-Stalk-Control-Adaptor-FREE-Patch-Lead-For-Peugeot-206-2002/400509277590?ss...

Re: Starting issues
you could try taking it off and connecting it to 12v supply to see if it spins. Then you know if fault is starter or wiring.

Re: headlights
Could this be due to a wobbly stalk and dodgy contacts.

Re: Airbag light
I was wondering that as the Trigger on the steering unit refers to the two wires that operate the two stages of airbag release based on severity of impact (or so I thought).

Re: What was your first car?
My first car was a Morris Ital in pageant blue. A 1.3L. One of Leylands finest. I suspect it started to rust before it even left the factory. Spent many happy summers filling it with fibreglass and bodge. It lasted me for about 10 years then passed it onto my brother in law for free. He sold it to a...

Re: Airbag light
You will need a professional scanner My Bluetooth unit to Torque on my phone showed no faults. I got a copy of Pug Planet (plus cables) and put it on an old laptop which gave me the codes to diagnose that the stalk unit (comms 2000) behind the steering wheel was damaged. replaced it and all good.
