Don't waste your time trying to repair it, its a pressure joint, take it to any hydraulic specialist and they should be able to replace the crimp for you good as new.

I dont know what models have that speedo working from the abs ecu but i was advised that too when mine wasnt working. Out of every single one of these cars I looked at in scrap yards all of them had a speedo sensor including mine which was the cause of mine not working too.

It will be the speedo drive cog that makes the spindle spin, has it had a recent clutch change? The usual cause is when inserting the long drive shaft into the box, it breaks the plastic lugs off the drive cog or dislodges it then when the diff turns the cog gets chewed up.
