I can't believe this wasn't spotted by a garage. Looks a bit obvious from the location.
Good to have it posted up for anyone else who's suffering with the same fault.

Have you checked the rubber seals on either side of the glass?
If they get dry they can have a rough edge to them.
I would lower the windows and clean the rubbers and see if that helps.

I have a drivers seat with airbag for sale.
From a pre plex 2001 206cc.
It blue and black cloth.
Seat is in good condition with minor wear around airbag.
Looking for £30.

You won't see anything amiss. I know, but i want to clean and add a dab of oil the them to make sure it isn't oil starvation that's causing noise. Adding a bit of oil should quieten them down if it's a lack of lubrication that is causing the noise. Might not work but want to make sure it is just wo...

I was hoping that. I think I'll get a replacement gasket and then have a nose underneath the cover. See if it is anything obvious or just ware and tear.
I will be taking the car to power flow in the near future so that'll make the tappets less noticeable

How would i check the oil to the top end? Does it have an oil feed pipe? Or is it a case of taking the covers off?
