Re: Drivers Window Stuck Down...

I'm afraid that, if direct 12V did not work, the motor is dead.

Re: Drivers Window Stuck Down...

When the door card is off, you should be able to see the window motor and the grey plug which connects to it. To try getting the window up, just apply 12V across the two contacts in the socket. If it doesn't work, reverse the connections. The other end of the two wires goes into the Roof ECU in the ...

No, it's the drawing I pointed you to in my first post viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12945.
Im pretty sure this is a dodgy micro switch issue and theres not much wrong.
Yes, it's probably the one I keep telling you about :big-grin:

Re: Roof up-roof down..in which order?

This video viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12920 shows the entire sequence. Watch from 5.40 for the answer to your question. It says that the roof getting to fully down should close the Roof Open Contactor (which is I in the drawing) - that may be your issue.

Re: New owner-04 cc allure 1.6

Check the Retractable Roof Open Switch (marked I in the drawing). If the Roof ECU does not get the Open signal it will not allow the boot lid to start shutting.

Re: New owner-04 cc allure 1.6

The car beeps if you do over 8 mph with the roof neither open nor closed, i.e. it doesn't want you to operate the roof at speed. Chances are one of the microswitches does not register that the roof IS closed and locked. The most common issue is dirt in one of the switches operated by the roof catche...

Re: Peugeot 206cc 1.6L (2001) Not Starting

As I said before, if you get the ticking and flickering in the first position (Acc), it is nothing to do with the starter. The key has to be turned to the 3rd position to involve the starter.

Re: Gears sticking

That does sound like a different issue. Have you checked the fluid level is correct? The procedure is at para 4 here: http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-206/206/info/gb/b2ci05k3.htm . Make sure to use the correct fluid as stated, i.e. Esso/Mobil (same company) LT 71141. Do not accept "equivalents"...

Re: Gears sticking

I have not experienced as extreme behaviour, but one run I do has me climbing a long hill at 35-40, where the box has (correctly) selected a low gear (I think 2nd, but it could be 3rd). Then I get onto a level, narrow road and the speed is dropped to 25-30, but the box insists on holding that low ge...

Re: Oil temp arrow is not moving

Probably a broken wire between the oil sensor, the engine compt. fusebox and the BSI, or plug/socket in the path, or it could be the sensor, which is a combined pressure and temp sensor. Outside chance that the needle is stuck.

Re: Peugeot 206cc 1.6L (2001) Not Starting

It sounds to me like a relay on the BSI is trying to lock in to get the system up, but there's not enough operating current to hold it on, hence the chattering. If that's right, the question is what is causing the lack of current, and my guess is either a bad contact in the ignition switch or the wi...

Re: Non-starting advice appreciated

Just post the URL of the video as a link. Check the security and freedom from corrosion of all earths. The most notorious is the one between the battery negative post and the gearbox casing. You could try a spray of switch cleaning fluid in all the sockets of the BSI (cabin fusebox) and underbonnet ...

Re: Non-starting advice appreciated

Your guess about the starter is most unlikely, as the starter does not come into operation when the key is turned to the first stage. The fault is almost certainly electrical. The first thing to try is a BSI reboot. See http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=13473 . The bit about resetti...

Re: Non-starting advice appreciated

Not sure what you mean by "first turn". Are you referring to the key, or the engine? If the key, is the clicking when you hold the key in the start position, and does the engine then turn?
