Re: Roof pump oil

Peugeot Service Box specifies ARAL VITAMOL ZMH type oil.

I can't find this anywhere, but there is a hydraulic oil specification SAE-ZHM, so I think Service Box may contain a typo.

However, see this post: viewtopic.php?t=12143

Re: Peugeot 206 CC 1.6 Newbie

(EDITED) I don't know whether new chips can be programmed with the original board in the same car, but it may work. I do know you can't do it in another car, so used keyfobs sometimes offered on EBay are useless. Peugeot do not sell the transponder chips separately - only complete keyfobs. It sounds...

Re: Peugeot 206 CC 1.6 Newbie

.... Why do the keys work the locks but not the ignition and can I do the re-registering or is that a dealer only job? If the previous owner failed to transfer the immobiliser chips from the old keyfobs to the new, then they will never work, and cannot be made to work by a dealer. They will have to...

Inexpensive code readers do not do well with Peugeots. It has to be either PP2000 or expensive professional tools.

Re: Portal (frontpage) - do you use it ?

It's the only way I know to get to the repair documentation. Other than that, I don't use it. If you decide to get rid of it, could you reprovide the link on the index page?

Re: Confusing codes

Just a guess, but you may have a software bug in the electronics (BSI?). Have you tried a BSI reboot?

It's probably not worth reprogramming it to try to clear the issues, but that would be the way to address it.

Re: Roof not working

If nothing at all happens, one possibility is the roof operating switch is faulty, or it is not receiving 12V. Check Fuse F12 in the BSI (cabin fusebox). If that's ok, check for 12V with ignition on at Pin 2B (wire no 6173D) on the operating switch. Sometimes, the cable to the operating switch goes ...

Re: Is my Lexia Rev C faulty?

Best option would be to connect to another Peugeot, preferably also a 206. If that works, the fault lies in your car.

I've assumed you tried a BSI Reboot. If not, do that first.

Re: right battery?

Yes, the 1.6 battery is 207 x 175 x 190mm. Mine is secured with a clamp on the side, not a strap across the top.

Re: how much similarity to 206 ?

There is a great deal of commonality. Under the bonnet, any differences are more due to date of build. Things like doors, windows, seats and, of course, the roof, are different. The door mirrors are subtly different (and the CC ones much more expensive). You can use the Peugeot Service Box to cross-...

Re: Hello from Morecambe

I think 5W30 is recommended for the 1.6 16 valve TU5JP4. Mine takes a Yuasa 3012, as recommended by the Yuasa website. The battery tray is sized for a larger battery - don't know why, but the 3012 is plenty - 52 Ah, CCA 450 A.
