Re: A quick qusestion

Is mid 2002 correct? My daughter's hatchback is registered Nov 2001 and it is multiplexed. Or are cc's different?

Re: How do you stay sane with a 206cc?

Regard it as advance warning of failure. It may be that a dab of grease in the right spot will fix it.

From the Peugeot Service Box:

Rear Hub Fastener 20 daNm, which I converted using a Google search to 147 lb ft.

Re: Door mirrors as rare as rocking horse poo

Not sure what you mean by panel. I did find, using a pattern part on a 206 hatchback, that the casting on the inside had a triangular fillet pointing inwards which should not have been there. Ground it off and all was well. Is that, perhaps, your problem?

Re: peugeot 206 headache !!!

Had a sudden death on my daughters 206 recently - it was the earth connection at the engine. It looked ok at a glance, but was rotted through. Just a little nudge and it came away completely.

Worth a look!

Re: Passenger Side Door Mirror

There's one showing white plug sold by newvehiclepartsonline at a good price. Item No. 131299721445. I did see somewhere that the difference between the 206cc and the 206 (others) was slight, and, as the 206cc is usually more than double the (others) price, it was easy to modify the latter with an a...

Re: Interior Boot Light

It is located above the LH edge of the rear number plate, so I expect you have the remove the boot lid interior trim to gain access. Part No 6366 37 - Trunk Lamp Contact Switch.

Re: Electronic brake force distribution??

It is the computer intelligently operating the ABS system to maximise braking without allowing individual wheels to lock and also to improve roadholding in poor conditions.

I expect you need the diagnostic tool (e.g. Peugeot Planet) onto it to progress further.

Re: Codes Keys etc

If you want a key with no buttons, it is straightforward. Blanks with transponder chip are available on EBay and can be cut by specialists, some of whom have the electronic tool to program the key to the car. They will need the key code for the programming. If you want a key with buttons for remote ...

Re: Road noise

I think the F1s can be noisy at higher pressures. Mine were too high when I got it. I have reduced to the specified 2.3 Bar (33psi) and it seems quieter, plus it handles better.

To reply to my own question - yes, it will, just. I've tried with a full size tire, and that fits (but not under the blind, of course). Now to buy a spacesaver.

Re: Anyone near Hampshire/Dorset install PP2000/Lexia softwa

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I hope so. I have just got PP2000 working on a 64bit Windows 7 laptop, by using VMware player (free!) and a copy of Windows XP SP3 32bit. Programmed 3 keys to the car without a problem. The only difficulty arose because the bottom of the PP2000 screen with the ...

Repair Procedures

I have come across some very useful illustrated repair procedures by searching on Google. The url is the same as this board, but I can't find any index or other way in, in order to browse them. Is there one?
