Thats terrible news. I think I read the answer earlier, but can a 2nd hand ECU be fitted? I can not see why not, but I guess I am missing something. Its rare for controllers to fail in my industry. Its normaly a sensor, poor plug conections or a PSU. If the ECU has a comms failiure I would be checki...

Does the engine management warning lamp come on? If not try this. Turn off car engine. Turn ignition key to 3rd position. Position just before turning car engine over. Wait for fuel pump to stop pumping. Or temp needle to initialize on dash. Then start car. Also good to wait for car to pump oil arou...

350Z-308CC. Please no. I obviously have not driven the 308 CC, but surely it will drive more like your Campus than the Z.

I am not a BMW lover but I am drawn to the 1 series cabrio for a 4 seater cabrio.

You should get yourself a 2.0!

Ok its not the quickest in the garage, but still good fun in its own way. Golf drivers seem to have a real problem with my car and I love to p!$hh them off.

Not had an ABS issue on the Pug, but my wifes Saxo had to have a replacment ABS sensor. After replacing one of the sensors the warning lamp did not go out until it was driven for a few meters. I guess the controller had to see the sensor feedback before it reset the fault lamp. Could be the same wit...

Y plate here and never leaked!

I think its luck of the draw, although mods were indroduced over the years. Like rain gutters and different rubbers, which I think were designed to stop sqeaking as apposed to leaks.

Peugeot will probably want to replace it all, which will probably include replacing the cat. So do not go there. Ring around local exhaust centres to see if they will weld a mid section in place. Note 206 exhaust need to be cut and welded to fit and so ask if they have had experience of 206 cc exhau...

I have just had a bit of a clear out and found various spares I had been collecting for my 206 CC's. I thought it might come in handy, but is now just clutter. I will not be throwing anything away and so keep this post in mind should you need an item even if its a few years down the line from now. R...

Sorry to hear that, what scum bags. This forum is definetly the correct place to post because any potential buyers are going to be looking here. A note to anyone buying 2nd hand parts for 206cc's should be checking what vehicle it has come from. Perhaps the moderators could duplicate this mail to th...

Saxo has now gone :(

Replaced with 995KG 225BHP and 200 lb/ft of torque! ( It scares me and makes the Pug feel more like the motorhome to drive ) Its not quite a Vaxhaull, but Lots Of Trouble Usualy Serious! :firedevil:

I would suggest a car that has been owned by minimum amount of owners and owned for the longest period. High mileage doesn’t appear to be an issue here. There are some problematic CC's out there. So getting one that has been owned from new should mean that the car has been a good'un. People don’...

Do not worry. From what I remember it is just used to hold the plastic cover when removed for roof maintenance or repair. Tuck it back in and forget about it.

I do not ever recall getting anything less than 220 miles out of a tank, which I guess is about 27 MPG. Thats from my 2.0L doing short journeys around town and being driven particularly badly. I should add that the MPG for the 2.0l seems to change dramaticly depending on the type of driving and fuel...

Use something sharp and hard between the lined edge of the plastic handle and prize the handle apart. The handle is in two parts a top cover, which needs to be pulled off to expose the 2x bolts beneath.
