Re: Brakes :(

My rear disks were well worn and the pads weren't that far behind, the car made the usual scraping/rumbling noises when stopping as they had accumulated a surface rust coating in the bits that weren't wearing. Re: Car immobilizes for no reason.

As the above post states, it wont do any harm to have the battery checked. other possibilities would be the
earth connections and maybe have the alternator voltage checked. The CC is notoriously sensitive to correct voltage or strange things happen.
what year CC do you have?

Re: Multifunctional display and non-original audio

If you are looking to make the unit you have work with the steering wheel controls then something like this should do http://www.connects2.co.uk/ProductInformation.aspx?id=10694&p=CTSPG004.2, with the appropriate extra lead for your head unit. It gives full button functionality but you will usua...

Air Con electrical burning smell!!

The weather finally prompted me to have my air con recharged on my 2.0 2002 CC . Took to a local garage with a good but tad expensive reputation for full aircon service and charge. mechanic told me on picking up car that he has uncharged the system, as when he charged it and the solenoid valve for d...

Re: Roof will not go down at all

Firstly, have you read the user manual? The side windows do go down with the roof button as part of the roof opening operation. If you are just getting beeps the check ALL the micro switches, the roof ECU will not allow operation unless it is getting the right signals from all the components. http:/...

60-70 mph with roof down, windows up and deflector in place, and wife's hair hardly moves. That difference enough? :)

Re: Radio is quiet

other than a faulty tuner in the radio, only other suggestion would be the attenuator setting, this mutes the radio when needed (eg phone call - not whilst driving of course) .
Have you a different head unit that you could temporarily try?
