Re: Confusing codes

My 2002 hatchback constantly bleeped at me when I took the radio out .. only changing the settings in PP2k stopped that but it didn't throw any codes .. none I found.

Does the manual box have a temperature switch?
As far as I know, no. Manual box doesn't use one.

What are you using to read the codes? Some code readers don't work 100% and you can get different results from different readers on same car.

Re: Is my Lexia Rev C faulty?

It could be several things: a joint or wiring fault, the airbag ecu or the "squib" which is part of the indicator/wiper arm unit and can't be replaced separately. Oh and that is probably about £200 now .. I replaced one several years ago and it wasn't cheap then. Until you get the code you are stabb...

Re: Roof not working

That is possibly a wiring joint in the boot behind the boot lid trim .. is your upper brake light out too?

It's a speed sensor thing and thinks the boot is open over 5mph!

Re: Is my Lexia Rev C faulty?

Have you checked the air-bag wiring under the seats? The plugs are notorious for playing up after the seats have been moved.

Re: Moonstone Blue 1.6

A fun little car, perfect for the summer. It’s a runner but has a noise from the engine bay, will need a new exhaust and wing mirror housing. The bodywork and interior show age with the odd paint chip and leather rip / fade. Economical retuning over 40mpg, and great fun in the sun with the roof dow...

Re: how much similarity to 206 ?

2001 and before use a different wiring system too ... things like radio, multi-function display and steering column switches/steering wheel are different and will not work on a 2002 or after.

Re: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION CONTROL ARMS.

Pretty sure they are the same .. possibly with the beefed up main bushes. The last set I fitted to our CC were sold as GTi arms .. but the 138bhp versions.

Re: FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION CONTROL ARMS.

I fitted GTi arms to our CC as the base ones gave out after just over a year. That big heavy 2.0 lump I guess. The GTi ones have better bushes.

Did wonder about poly but didn't to keep cost down.

Re: Towing

Not sure the torsion bar style of suspension would suit a caravan ... also there is a "box" under the boot from which two strengthening bars are connected and may be in the way of a tow bar bracket. But others may have other ideas ...

Re: Accelerator Pedal Issue

Probably just the clip .. you should be able to pull that sliding piece with the slots/ribs up right now .. a thin tie-wrap might be a temp fix.
