The hoops don't really serve any real purpose as the A pillar and the boot are the only contact points with the ground should the car roll while the roof is down, hence ebay chrome hoops are just as good.

Thanks guys! While I'm a convert, I still miss my CC! Lucky for me I still get to see it as it's now owned by a family friend - only thing is I keep reminding myself not to comment on the car's state of cleaniness!!

Tell me about it, it was a Sunday after yum cha in Hong Kong, we decided to do a bit of shopping as you do over here and we came home with a receipt for the deposit on the car!!

Lucky for me, I can still come back to Sydney and still have my CC (not sure what condition though)!
