i topped our resie up by taking the thing off the pump
the oil is the same as used in mercs and can be bought at gsf motor factors for around 7 quid

it may be the switch that is hidden by the left hand side boot hinge

i now have a contact that is pug trained and does a few jobs on the side

ive had all the plastic bits and carpet pulled away from the mechanism and still couldnt figure out where the cord goes its not intuative thats for sure if you do have to get the plastic cover retracted put your hand up behind the metal mechanism form underneath and on the left side and you will fee...

only got back on the forum tonight
did eventually get the roof sorted it was the micro switch on the left side of the boot hidden behind the boot hinge
now all working honky dory

update number two
major problems now
all we get is a constant pinging when using the roof lower switch and theres no bong when we undo the roof catches
can some one please give us a pointer as im about to be taken away in a straight jacket

ok a little update roof will retract into boot but the small plastic shelf isnt going into place so i pressume that is why the boot lid wont shut i tried pulling the plastic shelf into position so as to drop the boot lid but that didnt work imm really getting frustrated with this now so any help wou...

the backbox will not affect any electrics at all just noisey
do all your doors and boot lid close properly with nothing trapped as some cars wont lock unlees doors are completely closed
will the doors lock manually and do the lock buttons on top of the doors go down ok

should have said when the boot fails to close the pump is still working whilst we hold the roof switch in position

hi again all ive been stalking the forum since registering but not logging on too often anyway here we go again with a roof problem it all started when the roof went down ok but the boot lid wouldnt lock into position so we lifted it in manual mode and reset everything roof worked fine retracted it ...

can anyone help with this
if the passenger seat is in any other position than straight up if you put weight backwards or go over a bump with somone sitting in it the seat drops backwards with a nasty sound like when you drive over a cattle grid

all problems sorted now
fitted new discs and pads as discs were scored
abs light went out then returned a couple of days later doh

i had a look at the pads and it looks like around 5mm left on the rears but i cant see the fronts and there is a lip of about 1-2 mm on the edge of the discs think i can handle changing the pads its just if there is a procedure for returning the pistons into the calipers without blowing any seals th...

the abs warning light is now staying on i have done a few searches and it seems it could be a poor connection on one or more sensors possibly on the rears is it possible that worn brake pads could cause this has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the solution last of all when you change...
