Well I have made it to scotland, and - touch wood- the car has performed seamlessly, so far I have done 2350 miles and the car has returned 35.9 mpg, which for a 2 litre makes me a very happy bunny. Having talked to my local pug dealer, he wanted 175 Euro for one, so I popped into my local scrap yard today, and picked one up for 15 euros, tyre still has the bobbles on so never been used, what a saving! I feel so much happier now.

I spoke too soon, got the leak through the interior light, but thankfully no other, I gather that is easy to sort out with a bit of sealer, so will sort that out over the weekend!
