Re: pics of your cc

Been quite a while since I've been online here - since then I've got new (and personalised =D) numberplates and progressed to a full license (!!!), but also a headlight is out, as is a rear numberplate illuminator....

Re: Automatic gearbox ... possible problem .. help/advice

Being a female and not too clever with the technicalities of cars, what is the 'gate' please. My car is just automatic and not tiptronic gearbox. I await the reply but will give a go when I know where to look for the gate Thanks for advice Elaine Hehe I'm female too, my mechanic taught me these thi...

Re: Automatic gearbox ... possible problem .. help/advice

Hi Urbanangelaine, I've got an auto too and I sometimes get the same problem, and what happens in mine is when I get hair, grass etc down in the gate, it causes the sensors to go haywire - the car rolls back on hills, car revs before suddenly smalling into gear and jolting forward, all kinds of nast...

Re: snow??

Why didn't the person with the camera put it down and give her a push? Mine's usually tucked away for the Winter so I have no experience. Not that you would ever have to worry about snow 52nd! :rotfl: I was thinking the same! Just watching her struggle, then uploading it to the world hehe I'm sure ...

Re: Squeaking - wheels...?

Thanks again guys, when I apply the handbrake it's usually to the 5th stop - but I press the button in while engaging it to reduce wear on the internal cogs so I don't hear any clicks :P

Didn't think about the steering but it could be that too, I'll have that checked too :)

Cheers!

Re: roll bars

Yep definitely cosmetic, the box mine came in said 'WARNING: NOT INTENDED AS A SAFETY DEVICE' :P You don't actually need to undo any seat bolts though - just pull the back of the back seat forward. Then as craigdjmv said - simply unscrew the bolts off the old ones, pull them out, put your new ones i...

Re: Squeaking - wheels...?

Thanks very much Grandad, I'll (carefully!) check the wheel temperatures after it's been squeaking. Last night we had a wild storm and heavy rain and it didn't squeak at all which fits both of your suggestions.

I'll post our diagnosis and cure once we have them!

Squeaking - wheels...?

Hey guys, So this one's rather puzzling. My brakes squeak - I've gotten used to that haha. But after driving for a while, ie 20 minutes of city driving at speeds of no more than 70km/hr, one or more of the wheels squeak. It's really hard to tell where it's coming from exactly but it sounds most like...
