I believe it is a cable clutch and not hydraulic. Can anyone advise?

I had a similar prob with my 206 (not cc), try pusing the seat handle backwards towards the boot and pushing the seat forwards at the same time, once in desired position release handle and it SHOULD stay in position...... Hello!

Yes, your absolutely right, I was quoted for a timing belt kit :) Mine has been done now - only the belt, didnt need pulleys etc also didnt need water pump either, which saved me a few quid :)

By far the major cost of replacing either a water pump or a timing belt is the charge for labour. There is the same amount of labour in doing both, or either. As the belt has to come off to replace the water pump, if it was me I'd slip a brand new belt on at the same time. What does a belt cost.......
