Yes, most modern cars will shut down the fuel pump on overrun, whereas if you knock it into neutral it requires fuel to keep it idling.

But in order to be really economical you need to speed up on the down slopes and slow down on the up slopes, and I hate people that do that.

Me too, but I'm not picking up my Z4MC until 1 September. The wait is excruciating.

No, the hoops just bolt through the bodywork with a pair of bolts each, behind the seats. If they were structural they'd bolt to a substantial bit of the monocoque with some big bolts. I think the majority of the crash structure is in the reinforced A pillars around the windscreen.

Pretty sure there was a FAQ about this on here. When the CC first came out, you could only get the lights for the ordinary 206 and an area had to be cut away to fit. I'm almost certain it was the red area shown in your pictures. Might be worthwhile e-mailing Lyndon or Derek to see if they remember. ...

In the UK we have a bunch of people called "Chips Away" who specialize is reparing small areas of paint damage without spraying the whole panel. Would have thought that if you bought a new panel it would come unpainted anyway. If you buy a secondhand one, it's unlikely that the paint will ...

We call it "bonnet" in this country

I don't have a definitive answer, but I can't see any reason they'd be different.

Well after 3.5 years it was time to move on, so I've sold the TVR. Now I have on order a BMW Z4 M Coupe. Same colour scheme as the CC (black with red leather interior). There's an agonizing 8 weeks wait for delivery though! Generic pictures for those who don't know what I mean... http://www.bogart.o...

I must be getting old. In my day "tuning" meant making modifications to the engine so it went faster. Does sticking a splitter on count as tuning now? It's a nice splitter though (I assume that's what we're looking at, right?) You might want to consider some sills and a rear bumper thingy ...

No, you just need thin fingers and a bit of dexterity.

Usually "sports cars" are rear wheel drive. However, I guess an exception could be made for the Integra Type R and the Fiat Coupe 20VT.

But 206CC = not a sports car.
