Always used to fill up at Sainsburys, so it couldn't have been the petrol on our car!

Wheel repair it - NO! Robbie, We are renting as there is not a property market here like the UK or holiday home/time share market like Spain etc. If you buy, you would then struggle to sell. Besides, the 3.75% you earn on money left in a UK building society account adequately covers the rent with so...

Hi all, Thought I would check the forum out. We got shot of our troublesome CC last September and some of you may recall we were going to move to Greece! Well, we are now here on the wonderful island of Kalymnos, (although we are returning to the UK tomorrow to collect our 2 dogs). Still a few CC ow...

We never had serious problems with our CC. That is that it never let us down. We were let down by the inability of Peugeot and two of its dealers failing to rectify a long list of simple, niggly faults after numerous attempts ...... and damaging/trashing the car on one occassion in the process! Four...

Eureka! Someone got the problem solved! Any 1.6 owners suggested this to their dealers? If 'Yes', has it worked? As in my last post, 'amateurs' kept saying fuel whilst the so called 'professionals' at Camdens and WWBX kept replacing coils, leads, plugs, sensors, electronic throttles etc! Too late fo...

Our ex CC too! Every time it went to the dealers, they diconnected the battery. Had to re-enter code and reprogramme all radio stations.

Must admit, never put this one on our list of problems. It was getting too long anyway!

Sam1974, Don't let youeself be out of pocket by part exchanging or selling privately when you get your Civic or Golf. If the Peugeot dealer still hasn't fixed your car after numerous visits and has damaged it as well, kick up and say you have had enough and don't want it anymore. Make them buy it ba...

Downloads did nothing for ours ......... nor did replacing everything except the engine and gearbox! We don't have the car now, but whenever I mention it to people they say it sounds fuel related. All Camdens and WWBX tried with Peugeots help was ignition and electronics related. Surely by now someo...

Sam, Have only got round to reading your post after it has been here for nearly a week! Someone suggested taking the car to another dealer. Is the dealer you have been taking the CC to the supplying dealer? If it is, stick with them! If it comes to refunds, replacement or compensation, it is they wh...

I'm not much help, but getting back to the original post ......... Some time back in my Triumph club magazine it gave an explanation of what my TR7's VIN No. stood for. The initial combination of letters/numbers tells you, (I think), such info as manufacturer, model type, engine size, manual or auto,...

Bergen, Similar problem to what we had. As passenger seat was always too far back to accomodate someone in the back, would slide seat forward then tilt. However, seat would then slide all the way back crushing the rear passenger's legs. This was because the seat never locked in place when slid forwa...

Forgot to add that after the 11½ months we were offered a replacement car ex Peugeot UK's stock for £1000. We chose to get out while we could as a 4 month old CC courtesy car we had was almost as bad as ours, so we didn't have much faith in a replacement being any better! With us, the finance comp...

Jonathan, Have replied in 'Rejection selection'. Don't bother with Peugeot Customer Relations as they are a waste of space - Tackle the supplying dealer. Who are they? Do you have a letter head? If they are owned by Robins & Day Ltd then it will be at the bottom .......... they are owned by Peugeot ...

Assuming the supplying dealer has been attending to the problems and has been permitted a reasonable oppurtunity or oppurtunites to remedy your faults to you satisfaction and they have failed, then you do have a good case. Send them a letter listing the defects, the dates of visits and works carried...
