Probably not much help but it sounds like the clutch - maybe the plate is getting stuck somehow as you lift your foot off the clutch and then releasing quickly?

Also check that the boot & bonnet are properly closed as well as the doors. Does the display show anything?

Differences between a 206CC and a Ghia... - If the Ghia goes wrong you can fix it with a screwdriver & a voltmeter on the side of the road. If the CC goes wrong you have to wait 2 weeks to get it looked at by the monkeys who will take 3 days to diagnose a problem that will take a further 3 weeks...

Hey folks - just thought I'd pop in and say hi!

I'm still lurking, although seem to spend most of my time trying to figure out why my Ghia has died again!

Hi all,

The server will be down for a short while tonight (Saturday) whilst it's moved to a new data centre location. Hopefully it won't be down for more than 30 minutes or so.

Yay, Z roadsters are fantastic - saw a black one with the top down yesterday (it's over 70F here at the moment) and it's stunning.

Shame the UK prices aren't the same as US - you can pick up a brand new 350ZR for $38000 here (20286 GBP at current exchange rate).

Latest death toll is estimated at 115,000 - that's a lot of people :(

It's scary to think that several years ago I was on holiday in what now is a disaster area :(

Yep we fell in love with it when we first saw the advert. A pic from the ad is below. I like the auto lights idea... however I doubt that the lights work at all let alone by themselves! The best thing about the KG is that the parts are readily & easily available so any work shuold be cheap &...

Frosty, you're very close. It's in fact a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia! Picking it up at the end of the week so will get some photos up. It's a project car in need of some work (interior carpets, headliner, dashboard, exterior paint job etc) but runs perfectly well so we can use it for pottering to the mall...

Well we've bought our first car here in America. For those I've talked to, it's not exactly what I was planning to get! Quick hint:

It's a 1.6 litre rear engined sports car. Any ideas?

Hi all,

Just wanted to say I hope you had a great Christmas and are gearing up for a fantastic New Year.

Things are going well in jolly old US although it's still far too cold! Roll on the Spring ;)

Thanks! I got here yesterday after a pretty uneventful flight and I'm in the new office today. It's now chucking down with rain and at the same temp as the UK... looks like I brought it with me! I'll be hanging around the forum for some time to come so don't wave me goodbye quite yet! Peugeots don't...
