wheels painted
Ok so wasn't going to bother with tidying these wheels but they were pretty bad on closer inspection! So set about sanding and painting and decided technic grey was in order.

Re: spotlights
To IanL as spitfire6 said the wiring system dosnt operate in the conventional way as I found out so unless I see a wiring diagram giving an alternative I wouldn't have a clue at the moment. Im ok with this stuff but would prefer not to damage he original wiring system. Leds are pretty good but would...

Re: spotlights
Regarding wattage of add on driving lights/ spotlights the power can be pretty much anything you see fit just as long as they are correctly spaced and are only activated inline with high beams!! Factory fitted headlights are governed by the laws of 55watt max high or low beams. Cheers for the commen...

Re: Flat spot on acceleration
Yes its a nippy little car and with a small tweak here and there handle quite well for todays roads. Wouldn't want to use one for motorway work though but then there isn't any in the highlands.

Re: stereo upgrade
I would stick to an 8ga cable feed from the battery as drawing current like that through standard factory wiring is likely to overload. Never found the need for caps in the past with amps as good as they are nowadays but depends what your trying to achieve I guess. Bass is important in all music but...

Re: stereo upgrade
There are just two 8s in the rear no subs in the front. I use a 4 channel amp for the subs putting 200 to each sub. The subs are rated at 1000watts max so real watts is 200 a piece. It can be very loud if that's your thing but the main result is getting the sound into the car as you lose bass in con...

Re: Flat spot on acceleration
Thanks spitfire6 but have checked the usual things and no not mechanical just abit lethargic in second if you lose revs! Like I said been too use to turbo diesel power delivery as it goes pretty dam well but it dose it higher into the rev band.

Wanted some long range spotlights but something to match the car! Difficult to find decent enough halogen spots these days as everything is led and although nothing against led's as I use them in low beam they don't tend to fire a great distance like halogen or hid. Anyway I found these little 4&quo...

Flat spot on acceleration
Hi, now I have a 1.6cc and the thing runs and starts fine but once into second gear and beyond it is very flat power wise until you reach 3k rpm and above? Ticks over at 850rpm no problem starting but just feels like there is no torque unless you rev its nuts off. Lots of torque in first but then go...
