Thanks for the info. So tried today, drivers door definitely will not open (and that is the only one I tried previously) but the passenger door does. Thank you for the advice, looks like drivers door now added to my to do list. Thanks again.

So had an electrical fault late last year (earthing point issue) and my exhaust split. Being clever (not) I locked the car, disconnected the battery thinking I would get round to doing it this year.
