Re: Engine swap 2003 206cc

I have been looking at some tuning specialists regarding chip tuning and they promise up to a total of 130-140 horsepowers in the 1.6.
But that might just be bs...

Re: Engine swap 2003 206cc

Sounds like a hassle to be honest...

All i am looking for in the end is a decent performance boost...

Is chip tuning with a race exhaust / race induction kit a viable option to get more power out of it?

Thanks for all the helpfull info so far!

Engine swap 2003 206cc

Hello, I am currently trying to figure out if a engine swap is possible. I have the 1.6 engine att the moment and i am thinking that the 2.0 or a GTI engine would be fun upgrades but I have a few questions i hope someone can help me answer. 1. Is the engine mounts the same and would a direct swap be...

Re: Will these items work?

Yes those parts should be fine. No you shouldn't need a frame to make it look good. The info on the mfd depends on what stereo you had from the factory... lower units had no integral display and so put all their radio station/ track number info on the mfd. You will lose this but it should still giv...

Re: Worth the money/hazzle?

Hopefully! Strangely enough it was nothing that popped up on my OBD2 reader software, but i have heard that if you don't have any error lights lighting up on the dashboard they wont connect their OBD reader anymore (in sweden). So hopefully it wont be a issue anyways since there is no light specific...

Re: Will these items work?

I have heard the same thing, but i have not seen too much info about it... i wonder what info you loose on the display. I saw one video of a guy changing the stereo in a 2004 modell without any issues, at least nothing he mentioned.

Re: Worth the money/hazzle?

Just wanted to update everyone. After changing the last bit of muffler and using the cheap OBD2 reader i got rid of the faults. No more P0420 and no more "anti pollution fault" on the display. Other than that a quick change of the corroded brakelines and a full service seems to have been s...

Re: Spungy gaspedal

hahaha, damned autocorrect... I figured as much, i talked to some friends who said it's normal for the car to behave that way because it's a 1.6... But i know that throttle response should be 1:1 no matter what engine size. I was thinking of doing a full service spark pluggs / filters / oils etc. Sh...

Spungy gaspedal

Hi!

Quick question!
My 206cc (1.6 2003) is alittle spungy in the gaspedal.
I can press it down but it takes a second for the engineer to respond and actually rev up.
What can be the issue?

Re: Worth the money/hazzle?

Think the exhaust will most likely cause the P0420. Despite what people say, a good quality code reader will have no problems reading Peugeot EOBD codes. Planet is really only needed for peugeot specific problems such as the roof. I have several code readers, and use these in preference to PP2000 w...

Re: Worth the money/hazzle?

The problem with this is that a PP2000 (IF i can find one locally) Costa around 120£.. My first idea was to buy a cheap OBD2 bluetooth reader so i can reset the fault codes after i fix above mentioned issues. That should atleast let me know if the issue is the hole in the exhaust for example

Re: Worth the money/hazzle?

Fix the exhaust first otherwise you will never know whether the lambdas are working. By "he has changed all the electronic connectors to the lambdas" .. what do you mean? He chopped them off and joined the wires? In which case he's probably made it worse! The cables on the lambdas are par...

Re: Worth the money/hazzle?

I finally got my hands on the information from the inspection. According to the papers (translated by myself from swedish so it might sound funny) 1. Fault indicator, motor electronics. (warning about fault in system) 2. Brakelines, mid car, both sides rusty. 3. Hole in exhaust pipe (last muffler) 4...
