Re: Unused connectors near headlights
That's great Gazza. Thanks for the pictures. So I'm better off looking for clear glass h7 headlights. Will the two headlights in your pictures have the same connectors?

Re: Unused connectors near headlights
Thanks Capncol. I was aware I wouldn't be able to do a straight swap with any of the bulbs but was thinking that if H4 produces more light it's worth me replacing the headlights back to originals. I'll keep my eyes open for a set from a CC or a GTI. I don't think it's worth me doing a HID conversion...

Re: Unused connectors near headlights
Cheers Gazza. Will standard 206 headlights fit the CC? I'm hoping the headlights were swapped as preference rather than front end damage as having looked at them more closely i believe they're angel headlights or what ever they're called. There's rings around the headlights which (just about) light ...

Re: Unused connectors near headlights
Cheers Gaz. This is definitely an after market part :( The spares on ebay are pretty reasonable. Is the height/pitch adjustment motor internal to the unit or would I have to buy that separately? Also, I've not noticed a fog light is out and it's not a blown bulb. Is this a standard front fog light? ...

Re: Unused connectors near headlights
Hi mate. Looking at it, it would appear so :/ I don't know if this is due to damage or preference but it's a cheap aftermarket part. Any idea how much a pair would cost off a breaker and weather a 206 set would fit? Also, the 3 pin connector appears to be earth, dipped and high beam. Any idea where ...

Re: Unused connectors near headlights
Additionally:
I've just noticed the bulb I've pulled out from the head light slot appears to be a H1 bulb but I think the head light should be a H7?!
There's also what appears to be some connectors in the look which looks a bit suspect...

Unused connectors near headlights
Hi guys, I noticed I have a headlight out today (no idea if this is related to the "auto lighting fault" i got a few weeks ago but when I checked the bulbs the other day they were all working) when I went to swap a new bulb in I noticed that on the passenger side there's two free connector...

Re: BSI Reset & Battery Disconnection Methods
Thanks Capncol. I'll give that a try again tonight. Do you think it would reset an auto lighting fault? Is it even a stored fault? Also, will I get any sort of beep to signify the BSI has been reset? Well, I pulled the rear view mirror apart and checked the sensor and connections and everything look...

Re: BSI Reset & Battery Disconnection Methods
Hi All, Adding to walshawwilly's question and Capncol's reply... Should the ignition be off/on when pressing and holding the lock button on the remote? Also, if the ignition is off, should the key be removed from the key hole? Also, does the car make any sounds or give any notifications to suggest t...

Re: Rear damper dust cover
Thanks for clarifying that Leegsi!
Gazza82, thanks for your offer/message mate, that would be great if you get a chance.
Unfortunately I can't reply to you directly as I don't think I've made enough posts to use the PM system yet...
Cheers,
Dan

Re: Rear damper dust cover
Cheers Guys! I'll give it a go
Edit: Is there a certain torque setting I will need for tightening the bolts? Also, once removed will I be able to compress the damper to get it back on again without special tools?

Thanks Capncol. I'll take a look. Any idea what tools would be required to swap the gaiter?

Rear damper dust cover
Hi
Is it possible to purchase rear damper dust covers?
The brittle plastic they're made of has cracked away on my 206cc.
Is this likely to be a MOT failure?
I have a picture but can't add it
Cheers
