Re: Somebody's car door damage.
Holy thread revival, looks more like your door has been sprained back further than its should be allowed too, probably in a strong wind. If you have a broken door strap that will more or less confirm what has happened as the damage line is an exact opposite match to the end of the wing.

Re: Confusing codes
Thanks for the replies, ive tried pp2k on a laptop and a £9 chinese code reader and both coming up with the same. Im pretty sure the speedo and control codes are to do with removing the radio and not telling the bsi because I did this with my last car and read about similar issues but hey maybe it i...

Don't all shout at once, No one?
After all these years of working on and owning these cars no one's come across this?
Does the manual box have a temperature switch?

Confusing codes
Hi guys it's been a while, I never thought i'd get another one of these cars but they are so cheap now its hard to say no. When I first got the car 2 years ago it had the eml light on and after clearing the codes its never been back on since. To this day I get no warning lights (except for the initi...

Re: Question with a subwoofer for my 206 cc
No one could answer that without seeing how big it is or how big an enclosure you intend to put it in but you should consider that a powerful subwoofer directly below the folded roof will probably shatter the rear window.

Re: Rear Struts or bearings
With the car on the ground you should be able to slide your fingers between the inside edge of the tire and the inner wing on each side at the back, easiest way to tell. I've done an axle swap 3 years ago on my back with 2 trolley jacks and axle stands and it took me all day, you will definitely nee...

Re: Can I disconnect the battery for SORNed 206cc?
As gazza says above just pull the earth cable off,and DO NOT lock the doors with the remote before you disconnect it as the doors will deadlock.

Re: New member and question
Hydraulic cylinders? Are you talking about the boot struts that help to raise the boot lid? They are nothing to do with the hydraulic roof system

Re: New member and question
Rear seat removal is a doddle, you won't need to disconnect the battery for that and i've replaced my boot struts too cos I lifted the boot lid up too fast once and broke them both its very heavy without assistance

Re: New member and question
I've had my battery on and off instantly many times when working on it and never had a single problem with the bsi from not letting it go to sleep. I've also changed my interior twice and had to take the front seats out on several occasions without disconnecting the battery and nothing happened, how...

Re: Location of fuel pressure sensor?
If its a diesel its located on the accumulator rail, if its petrol it doesn't have a pressure sensor so to speak just a regulator that's integral to the fuel pump hence no return line.

Re: FORCING A BOOT ENTRY
Only other way in that i know of is cutting a hole near the pump, well 3 sides then bend it open, big enough to get one hand through then you will have to get into the rubber pump housing and on top there are two relays, one to lower and one to raise, if you can get to those you can pop the tops of ...

Re: Engine cranking, no start, cam sprockets not turning
You will have to replace any that leak, you cant polish out a slight leak, bottom line is if it leaks its bent. Check the valve guides very carefully for damage and cracking, it can be hard to spot cracks and if you overlook it and it leaks oil it wont be pleasant. Don't forget the valve clearances ...

Re: Can anyone help? what is it???
Probably wont do any harm to run it as it is but it might put the light on if the solenoid isn't plugged in, even if its just the solenoid on its own left hanging.
