Farewell

Greetings. It's been a pleasure. PXed the car for a KA. Got £100 off. KA is a POS & details later. My car was CK02YJR. Check MOT. Not worth fixing. Now I have: Manual windows. Manual Lights. No AC, No Central locking. Manual wipers. No MPG. I now have a cassette tape player once they give me the...

Re: Cabin fan flow NOT (Solved)

Are the flaps also powered by the "auxiliary" battery? Hi Ian, They are not. A red Herring I am embarrassed to say. I wrongly assumed the cabin fan was rotating the correct way & as there was minimum flow from any outlet, wrongly assumed that the flaps were not working. I wear the don...

Re: Cabin fan flow NOT (Solved)

Hi, The motor was running in reverse! My fault. For 3 months I have been freezing my nipples & cleaning my inner windscreen of water + ice. Long story.. Actually looking forward to the 20-mile drive in the morning. My blower fan is powered by a LiFePO4 20AHr battery after I lost power to it over...

Hi,
I had not thought of that.
Simple things first.

Cabin fan flow NOT (Solved)

Hi, My bower fan rotates but I have lost flow to all outlets. IE. The blower motor blows nothing. The selection of flow path does not work. demist, front flow, foot flow change on screen, but nothing! It is like no "flaps" are moving. Cheers, Iain. PS. blower fan sounds like it is doing no...

Re: E85

Hi,
Yes, up to 10%.

I always add Alcohol to my tank when I see it available cheap.
Never a problem. Helps remove water from fuel.
I really do not worry about E10 in my cars.
Cheers,
Iain.

Re: E85

We've only got E5 and soon to get E10 in the UK ... and E10 is going to cause some older cars problems .. E10 is destructive to some rubber hoses, seals and other important stuff in the fuel system! Fake news as the old US president would say. Question: How much ethanol is in E10 fuel? Cheers, Iain.

Re: E10 Petrol

Hi,
your car will run fine on E10. Most if not all cars will run fine on E10.
It's a lot of hype about nothing.
if you do not run your car a lot it will benefit from E10!
Cheers,
Iain.

Functions of wires on radio 12V plug?

Hi, I have 7 wires on my OEM radio plug. IMG_3415[1].JPG I have eight if you count the extra connector. IMG_3417[1].JPG I know which is Battery, Ignition & ground. What are the other five? I'm guessing Illumination is one of them and somewhere is a form of SWC. What is the OEM stalk control? Che...

Re: How to: Replace drop links

You likely won't get a lot of responses, as you posted under a 6 year old thread about replacing drop links. You haven't said which engine you have, so I've guessed the 1.6. You could try replacing the inlet air pressure/temperature sensor. Also camshaft position sensor. Both are cheap. Hi, I would...

Re: MOT Fail

I expected the disks to last forever on the rear. Minimal work to do and I would never expect them to get as hot as the front. The handbrake requires less force & the first pull is enough. So far. The 20 quid 55Watt driver/35W 6200K HID dip & 36W (3 Amp) Main LED's max glare and little pract...

Hi,
My roof timed out in the program. I needed to connect to CANbus to reset. Bought cheap PP2000 gear.
