Re: horn
Well, I can confirm that it was simply the horn which had broken - not even the connections - replacement horn now safely attached to the car, and tooting away!

Re: Horn not working...
Ok, so I ended up not having to take the air bag off; 1. I went under the front right of car, and with some difficulty, managed to get the actual horn off. 2. I used a circuit tester (and another pair of hands) to test if power went to the horn end of the wiring - it did. 3. Using 2 wires I connecte...

Re: Horn not working...
I have tkaen the airbag off - it was really difficult as there is only 1 hole to help move the clips - in fact, it took me the longer to take that off than taking off a speed sensor! So, now I have the airbag off, but I don't know what to do next? 1. I don't know how to take the clips off - pic 1 2....

Re: Horn not working...
My horn is exactly the same.... I have checked the fuse, and that's ok. I don't know if it clicks or not. I don't know how to check if the airbag work - there are no airbag warning lights on. So I need to suspect 1. take the horn out and plug it in somewhere - can I use some wire from the car batter...

Roof stopped working FIXED
My car is 2002, but only 19500 on the clock; it was my mum's which I inherited (she didn't drive for the last 3 years, hence the low mileage). Anyway, the roof leaked so I raised it half way and applied lots of silcone lubricant but then the roof wouldn't work. Tired and tried but no avail. Eventual...

Drive and Timing belts
I have had the car serviced today and been told that these belts are starting to rip. So I'm looking online for new ones. I'm on eurocarparts dot com, and got the car logged into it. Couple of questions for this forum 1 - how easy is it to do the belts myself? Although I'm no expert, I do like to da...

Re: Breaking 05 plate blue 206 CC 1.6 Allure
Not sure about the timing belt - it goes ok until 15 miles then the engine doesn't engage when stopped so jolts when it does - but my way round it is to put it into Snow, then it stays ready to go. So it's not mint (if you see me post in the newbie section, you'll read I've done some damage to it wh...

Re: How to-Brake Discs & Pads change with pics.
I tried last week to put new discs on the front, but I couldn't get the bolts out of the discs. Didn't want to ruin them. I used an allen key but if guys are saying that it's T **, I'll get mine out and try (that'll be why the allen key didn't work - even though i was hammering it into the bolt to g...

Hello from sunny Jersey
Well, it is at time of writing :big-grin: My mother passed away recently, and I have always wanted her car. So I've got it now. It's 2002 and less that 20K miles on the clock - talk about a bargain! Well, she couldn't drive for the last 3 years of her life, so the mileage has stayed low. In the past...

Re: Breaking 05 plate blue 206 CC 1.6 Allure
Hi I've just found this site as I am now the owner of my mum's 206CC now that she's passed away. It's a 2002 model with less than 20,000 on the clock!! :yikes: Anyway, I was wondering if you have the passenger side plastic bit that attaches to the front of the rear window - as the passenger window/d...
