MAP sensors...

Hi Has anyone had any trouble with MAP sensors before ? I was having problems with the car and replaced the MAP sensor with an aftermarket part, the car runs fine but pops the EML light every so often. I've just bought a genuine Bosch part thinking it would cure the EML light but now the car will ha...

Re: Insurance as a classic/2nd car?

Thank you for the reply, I thought Flux would be best as well, when I tried them though they wanted as much as it was costing to insure as a 1st car, seems the pug hasn't hit classic status with most other insurers as well.

Will give AIC a try as well..

Re: 2.0 16v - Cold Start - Loss of revs?

Ok, just to update the thread, the loss of revs has started to happen most the time, usually when pulling upto a junction and the revs drop and cut out. I've taken the car into a Peugeot specialist, the diagnostic indicated its possibly a fault with the camshaft wiring which they will be having a lo...

Re: 2.0 16v Accelerator pedal and sensor

Thank you again for your help :-) Spoke to Peugeot and they said the numbers aren't showing but have confirmed 1601x7 to be the part but NLS. Have found some other part numbers on the pedal pa66gf30 and f00c3e2057. A specialist company that breaks 206's was really helpful and checked for all the par...

2.0 16v Accelerator pedal and sensor

Hi

Can anyone recommend anywhere that might have the above available ?

The part number I'm after is Bosch 0208755080, PSA 9659879580

I've tried a few places and the numbers don't seem to exist, I'm not sure if another part is compatible ?

Will check with Peugeot tomorrow as well.

Re: 2.0 16v - Cold Start - Loss of revs?

Ok cheers, I've changed the throttle body for a brand new one and still have the same problem so that's one ruled out. Haynes doesn't really tell you much but looks like the switch is at the top of the pedal ? I can see a wire that disappears off into the dashboard, would you know if its just the pe...

Re: 2.0 16v - Cold Start - Loss of revs?

Hi I'm still no further on this but a new code flashed yesterday, p0170 after the revs drop and the car cut out. I'm wandering, could the loss of revs be due to a faulty accelerator position sensor ? I've rev'd the engine and the butterfly isnt opening sometimes when you press the pedal. Its intermi...

Re: 2.0 16v - Cold Start - Loss of revs?

Sorry, thought I'd updated the thread, changed the CTS and the car had been running fine, then a couple of weeks ago it's started playing up again, the rev's drop and you have to really push the accelerator to get it going! EML comes in with anti pollution and codes below. It only happens when stati...

Re: 2.0 16v - Cold Start - Loss of revs?

Thanks, I've just ordered a sensor to give it a go.. The car has done something different today as well, stuck in traffic, and the fan came on, the revs then automatically raised to 1k to 1.1k and the accelerator did nothing, turned the engine off/on and it drove fine. Flagged 2 codes as 1160 and 11...

2.0 16v - Cold Start - Loss of revs?

On start up, when you press the accelerator pedal, the revs drop and it's difficult to pull off. after a couple of minutes, the car drives fine... Also, if you can get the revs over 2k on start up it doesn't happen... A garage thinks it could be sticking tappets but would cost a lot to check it out,...

Cheers, why is nothing ever easy :-) Wish they would just keep the same calipers and tools to make the job easier :-)
