Re: Farewell to 206cc
After 18 months of the megane cc, I decided to sell it. Grandadmonkey, you were right. It broke my heart and my wallet and I was glad to see the back of it. Never again, but I will consider another 206cc and have already looked at a couple.

Farewell to 206cc
After owning the cc for 7 months, and enjoying it for all that time, I sold it when I went away for the summer. Contrary to other reports, I had no trouble with mine, other than things I reported on the forum, and other issues like the windows not fitting etc. were sorted using information on the fo...

Re: cambelt etc
By today's standards, these cambelts are easy. With the engine mounting removed, there is plenty room.

Yes, I did it that way too - it worked out at 54mpg!
Either way, it's good on fuel for a 1.6 petrol.

Good MPG?
IMAG0184.jpg I'm not a hard driver but like to drive to the speed limits - 30 in a 30, 60 on open road etc, and the car usually returns around 40MPG. I've just been on a 270 mile trip in the west coast of Scotland, which doesn't have any motorways, dual carrageway's and a shortage of straight roads...

Re: Front lower track control arm ...
I changed the rubber boots on mine when i bought it. 4 months later I had to change the arms for the MOT as the ball joints were knocking! The replacements were also listed for the GTI. (Ebay)

I haven't had it apart but most things that are made separately can be taken apart and rebuilt.

Re: boot central locking
Ok, sorry for the delay. In the first pic, you can see the solenoid. It has a dull orange wire with a green dot on it. At present it goes to earth. Cut this wire and join a new wire to it as shown: IMAG0120.jpg Then run this wire to the front of the car at the fuse box, ensuring it doesn't foul with...

Re: boot central locking
I've now carried out the modification. The dull orange wire with the green dot is the earth. You cut this wire and join to a new wire which you run to the BSI. On the BSI there is a large grey connector with 16 pins (numbered from the top). Pin 15 has a purple wire connected. If you join your new ca...

Re: boot central locking
Alternatively, does anyone have a wiring diagram for it? The one I have is for the 206, and shows different coloured wires than mine has. Mine is a 2004 1.6S and the wires at the boot solenoid are a brown and a dull orange with a green dot on it. I think this is the earth, and the one that should be...

boot central locking
Does anyone have the pics for the modification to the boot central locking, to make it open with the doors? The German site shown in the post http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8677 has been removed. I am particularly interested in the wiring at the BSI unit, as mine doesn't have...

I agree with the captain, the injector misfire has to be adressed first.

I removed the locking wheel bolts too. I also left the plastic covers off, as I couldn't remove them because of rust build up on the wheel bolts.

Re: rear suspension bushes
There is a universal bush tool available to change the bushes in with. It may be quite expensive though. I've noticed knocking from mine too, but haven't looked at the bushes yet.

Where did these come from?
I recently removed the dashboard, steering, pedals and electrics inc. the BSI unit, in order to repair corrosion at the bulkhead. I wasn't able to remove the heater box because the air conditioning was still charged and instead worked around it. After rebuilding everything, I was left with these thr...
