Re: AirCon - Warm on the right, Icy on the left

Should probably post to close this one off. I checked the mixer flap by removing the stepped motor on it. Manually moving the flap showed it moved freely and easily and the stepped motor operated smoothly too, no broken bits or poor attachments. So, next step was to get the cooling loop checked by t...

Re: AirCon - Warm on the right, Icy on the left

Yup, Filter is fine and it was re-gassed last year. Compressor kicks in, Gas flows and the passenger side vents drop in temperature nicely, It's just the driver side vents are noticeably warmer. Im sure its down to a flap in the distributor box not closing properly and warmer air leaking in to the m...

AirCon - Warm on the right, Icy on the left

Hey Guys, Think I've narrowed this one down, but any input would be appreciated. My AirCon is noticeably warmer on the drivers side vents (window and right vent in the centre, and the foot well). It blows cold on the passenger side vents so I'm assuming its a flap in the distributor box not closing ...

Re: More roof woes

Good to hear you have this resolved Tori, well done for perseverance in the face of adversity :D I jhave always found that shouting at it does help. Dont know what 'the other roof issue' is but personally i would be trying a full cycle of the roof mech now, as that will reset everything and put you ...

Re: Rear Axle Clank.

Just to close this one off.

the Clank was from the off side trailing arm bearings being shot. So shot in fact that the coaxial torsion bar was damaged.

New Axle fitted, Clonk removed, happy.

Re: is it just my 206cc??

This is very likely either the rear/mid section seal or the join at the hinge or hinge itself. 1. Open the roof, open the boot and grease the rubber seals with silicone grease 2. With the roof closed and windows open, check the rubber seals around the top of the windows, they should be stuck and sec...

Rear Axle Clank.

Odd one this, but throwing it out there to see if anyone has encountered it. I have a clank from the rear end. When going over rough surfaces it sounds like 2 scaffolding bars clanking off each other. I originally though exhaust or heat shields but, having faffed on with these for a few weeks, I qui...

Re: 206 CC Exhaust

Take care with Bosal, I have one one mine and its has minute clearance from the structural beams and dampers. Whilst it does fit, I dont think its a good fit.

Re: More roof woes

shouldnt need to when you're closing and locking the boot latches, but always have the engine running when operating the roof as it draws a lot of power

Re: More roof woes

Ah the old 'boot wont clip down again' chestnut. Messing with the white clips wont fix this. You have to get the main latches to engage and lock. The white clips are just there to engage / disengage the hydraulics from the mechanism. I had similar when I messed up and turned the ignition off with th...

Ye Olde Exhaust Rattles

Hey folks wondering if anyone can give me some specifics on the back box. Heres the story. Bought the car with a known failed back box. Replaced with generic bit from Andy Page. This generic box is somewhat larger then the one i replaced and has not started to clonk and rattle. On a moderately bumpy...
