Exhaust Manifold Part for 2002 model

Hi My 2002 1.6 (petrol)has failed its MOT due to a leaking exhaust manifold. They don't seem to be able to get a part. I have found one on ebay but its for a 2004 206cc (petrol)...will this fit? And will an old one be ok? The garage suggested repairing mine but not sure if a thats a good thing to do...

Re: Car won't start even though battery has been charged

Thanks for replying both. It was the earth wire to the battery! Someone in the past had joined it and it was a right bodge. I'm up and running again. Great to get help from you again, much appreciated.

Re: Car won't start even though battery has been charged

Battery has been fully charged by kind partner while I am at work and car still not starting. I do have jump leads but if battery has been charged (and is only a few months old) will that do anything? I don't have a digital meter. Before it stopped working totally the car always made a turning over/...

Re: Car won't start even though battery has been charged

Thanks for replying both. Sorry I didn't give enough detail I am not very mechanically minded and have no idea what you need to know! SO.................. The engine does not turn over. There is a churning sound then dead. No clicking sound I don't think but am at work now so can't check that. All t...

Car won't start even though battery has been charged

My 2002 206CC has had a new battery and alternator a couple of months ago. On Friday when I left work the car wouldn't start. I opened the bonnet to check the battery connections (they had been loose once.) they were ok so I shut the bonnet got in and the car then started. Tried it Saturday morning ...

Re: Is this Forum in Decline?

I agree that probably a lot of women own 206cc's. Me being one of them. My car didn't cost much but I am very proud of it. It's the best looking car I have ever had - if not the most valuable - and I chose it myself without being pushed into a car I didn't really want. I have reached a place where p...

Re: Will faulty boot struts affect roof lowering?

Bought a microswitch very quickly delivered from Wee Smurf. Lovely boyfriend fitted it. Tense moment, latches undone......bong.....press switch...ROOF WENT DOWN. I was so happy I nearly cried. Particular thanks to ENright (Neil) but cheers to everyone else who offered help.

It is the correct battery but upon examining it the negative connector had come loose. Not sure why. Anyway have tightened it and will see how it goes. Thanks for the help people. :big-grin:

Re: Roof ECU/Microswitches/Relays

Hi Jamie I have taken out the micro switch and although the blue pointy bit goes in and out and the metal bit is still on it isn't clicking like the one on the other side so I assume it is broken, So.........I need the passenger side windscreen striker plate micro switch. Do you still have one? Thanks

Re: Advent calendar of problems.....

It was a brand new battery yes. Purchased online as being the right one for the Peugeot 206cc but I will give it a measure and see. I wondered if it was the battery connections - although I have limited knowledge of cars. I (my partner) :)will check the cable at the weekend when I (he) does the roof...

Advent calendar of problems.....

It seems at the moment that every day there is a new problem with my car :( Short history so you can all see whats going on - bear in mind I am not very mechanically minded so technical stuff may be a bit poorly explained! Air conditioning not working - fault still awaiting repair by the dealer I pu...
