Re: Peugeot 206cc 2003 model 1600cc Petrol
Hello Ian, thanks for the reply. I don't know anyone with a 206cc around here but how does this suggestion sound? I can remove the coil pack and then insert a spare spark plug into one of the sockets on the pack, then earth the body of the spark plug to the engine block and then get Mrs W to try sta...

Peugeot 206cc 2003 model 1600cc Petrol
Hello again CC-ers. The last time I asked a question here was the 26th of February 2017. Yes, my wife's 206cc has been running perfectly since then....up to last week. Me and Mrs W had been over to Burnley and I drove it back home to Horwich, near Bolton. I reversed the car into a parking space, put...

Re: Engine stopped - Roof half-way going down
One other thing to mention- You say you were in gear clutch down while operating roof. The roof cycle has to take around a minute, and those clutches don't live a long life if you spend excessive time with the clutch pedal down. The release bearing cuts through the diaphragm fingers and breaks up. ...

Re: Engine stopped - Roof half-way going down
Hello cc-ers..... just a quick "Thank You all" for your advice and suggestions. I read and re-read the manual and the handbook, and as I needed a little reassurance I contacted a good friend (Peugeot expert without equal) and he talked me through the procedure on the 'phone. Convinced we c...

Engine stopped - Roof half-way going down
Hello cc-ers. I haven't been on for a while for the simple reason....everything has been perfect with Mrs K's 206cc....until today. It was time for its monthly roof raise and lower exercise. I started the car, unlatched the roof, lifted the roof-down switch and the side windows operated perfectly an...

Re: Water pooling on rear passenger floor
Hello again IanL Cap'n'col and Grandad M, just to update you all. Yesterday morning I went to our local hardware specialist and purchased a couple of tubes of Servisol clear silicone grease. I part-lowered the roof (3 minutes max) and applied the grease to all the seals I could reach in the 3 minute...

Re: Water pooling on rear passenger floor
Hello CapnCol and IanL. Thanks for the responses. I'll put the roof into the boot and lubricate it in-situ rather than risk it by part-lowering the roof....knowing my luck, it would probably stick in that position. Ian, I checked Halfords but that Holts rubber revive product doesn't seem to be avail...

Water pooling on rear passenger floor
Hi folks, Mrs K's 206cc has been bone dry since we bought it but this last few weeks, water has been pooling in the rear passenger floor area.. Yes, I know it's been the wettest December on record but I had hoped that we would have the dryest cc on record.... it was not to be. There is no sign of da...

Peugeot Indie Specialist(s) in the NW
Hello all,
two questions for you, if I may.
Can anyone advise me on a good Pug independent specialist in the North-west of England? and
Can anyone recommend someone with the Pug diagnostics kit who covers the same area, please?
Thanks in advance....

Re: How to-Brake Discs & Pads change with pics.
Just a quick "Thank You" to Capncol (and a nod to Edmund Jones, too) for the article on replacing rear brake disks and pads. This morning I changed out both rear disks and installed new pads and everything went according to plan. The big surprise was both calipers moved freely on the guide...

Re: Wind Deflector for 207 cabriolet wanted
........ I've considered a 207cc to replace our 206cc but remain unconvinced. Let us know how you get on with it after a few months please. Will do. Here's some comments so far. It's a 1600 diesel (HDI) and it's very good on fuel considering the size of the car. The car feels much bigger (especiall...

Anyone know of a 207CC forum or similar?
Hi folks, My wife still has her 206cc and I've splashed out on a 207cc. Does anybody know of a dedicated 207 website or even a 207cc site? There WAS a regular 207 one but it looks like it's ceased...the name is up for sale now and I've tried the search engines but no show. Any suggestions much appre...

Wind Deflector for 207 cabriolet wanted
Hi folks, I've splashed out on a 207CC after enjoyed driving my missus' 206cc over the last few weeks. I know it's unlikely but I thought I'd ask here....you never know. Has anyone got a GENUINE Peugeot 207CC wind deflector for sale here? Please let me know if you have, or you know someone who has. ...

Re: I can water sloshing on passenger side
Found the drain holes on Mrs K's Pug. I had to search inch-by-inch to find them. There was one drain louver at/on each jacking point...four in total. They were hopelessly tiny (but not now!!!). I prodded and poked with a very small blade which resulted in some dirt plus a little water draining out. ...
