Hi welcome to the world of the CC - when you get one!! You have probably chosen quite a good time to buy a convertable as they tend to go down in price as the winter comes along and people (wrongly) think that they will be nasty horrible cold things. The beauty of the CC is that its a hard top...

Hi couple of things to add to your postings if I may...... Hi sounds to me like either your engine management system is increasing or holding the revs to protect the catalytic convertor.... if there is unburnt fuel getting into the exhaust gas sensor then it will do this to make sure it burns it (on all modern cars) Try using a fuel injector cleaner for a f...

Hi there are two different ECO modes, as I think you already know... the ECO on the climate control is basically air con off mode, its there so that you dont try and cool the world by having the air con on when the roof is down. The economy mode that you describe after you have used the radi...

Check with Britax, they have the most accurate list in the world!! They are in weybridge - or check with your local Halfords they will give you their number. They also do free fitting so you can check it in the car. The britax Freeway seat fitted the front of our 206cc and the back when neccesary, b...

Money saving tip........... If you use an acrylic based paint and a plastic primer you can do them yourself. (Halfords paints are / were acrylic based) Take off the inserts, clean them with Thinners to get all the polish and silicon off of them, them spray them with primer (grey for a red top coat) ...

Try popping into a Halfords store and asking someone to look at it or go to a hi fi place that can look at it... it will only take them a few seconds to look at it and in my experience a decent Halfords will just sort it out on the spot for you, specially if you wear a short skirt (if your a woman t...

Hi we had a problem with the clarion changer that we put into our 206 cc and like you I thought it was the suspension, however I sent the changer back and it was diagnosed as having a faulty lazer thingy (technical term) and once this was fixed it was fine. If your changer is mounted in the glove bo...

Seriously - unlikely! If you have a look around how many cars do you see on the road 50 years old? cars have become just another throw away thing in our society, rather than something to be cared for and held onto for long periods of time. It would be lovely to think that the car might last for 50 y...
