U P D A T E...

I've just been out and checked fuse No 11 (15A) under the dash. It looks fine.

While I was there I checked every single other fuse both under the dash and in the engine bay. They all look fine.

So, it looks like its not a fuse.

Any other suggestions?

Hi there, When I parked my car on the drive Friday I accidentally knocked the wiper arm. This happens some time when I'm reaching for the ignition. The wipers came on but then as they were in motion I turned the ignition off and removed the key. The wipers then finished their one-wipe and I got out....

I've only ever made three posts on this great website. They have all been Peugeots fault (of course) and I have always received great tips and sound advice from members. But... this one is my fault. You will have either done this yourself, or will know someone else who has. "I topped my oil up ...

Hi, (reap - can you help with this one, or anyone else please). I've had problems with ERROR messages appearing on my dash. It started early November 07 with "Catalytic Converter Fault" then "Antipollution Fault". These both dissapeared and have been replaced with "Airbag Fa...

Thanks Ron, I will get it serviced, but isn't it a shame we all seem to think they (the machanics :mfight: / the management:hyper:) just make things up and charge what they like (say good bye to your money ). How do we 'really know' what is wrong and what they just 'stick on' or 'make up' to g...

UPDATE... UPDATE... UPDATE... UPDATE... It's now just over three hours since I first got the "CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAULT" message. I've just been to the car park and started the car a few times. The Cat fault appeared two more times then was replaced by "ANTIPOLLUTION FAULT" and i...

Hi there, I've got a "Catalytic Converter Fault". Here's more info... This morning I reversed my 206cc out of my garage. It seemed cold from start, a bit of stuttering with vibrations. It sometimes does this on colder mornings or if I haven't driven it for a few days. After five minutes on...

Hi - can anyone advise me how to adjust a roof latch to increase the tension of the roof? The drivers side latch feels tight when engaged and makes a firm and strong connection. However the passenger side roof latch was always easier to close BUT NOW THERE IS A TERRIBLE "RATTLE / CREEK" co...

Thanks for that, I'll take a look. The "squeak" sounds like its coming from 12 inches or so behind the steering wheel and I'm not sure how far back the "squib" is. The fact that pressing up on the wheel stops the squeak does suggest it is something similar to what you've mentione...

I have a squeak that sounds like its coming from behind the dash where the radio is or between the radio and steering wheel. Every bump, every crack in the road it's "squeak squeak squeak". If I push up on the steering wheel the squeak completely disappears until I ease off on the wheel th...

When I got the car I lubricated every single seal as a precautionary measure. The squeak is 100% coming from the dash (but not close to where I sit if that makes any sense, but also not from the engine or breaks). e.g. roof latches=FINE Doors=Fine I've even removed the housing around the speedo and ...

Thanks for the reply Eddy, it's just if I knew that other cc owners get a squeak with the roof down and "thats the small price you pay for turning people into rubber necks" then thats a bit better. It's just no one else seems to mention this. By the way, with the music at level 22 (25 is a...

Hi all. There's a topic for leaks, can we have one for squeaks please?. After months of viewing this excellent website, I've finally bought a 206cc 2.0SE Aluminium leather etc etc. After 4 weeks I've been lucky enough to have almost ZERO problems (thanks partly to this website). I spent £8.50 on a ...
