My wife's 206cc Quiksilver has a metal gear knob and it's absolutely freezing to touch in this cold weather.

I did put a little wooly cover I had for my golf putter on it but my wife wasn't impressed.

Has anyone found any better ways to keep your hands from freezing other than wearing gloves ?

Hi Coolchick. I bought my wife a quiksilver and picked it up at the end of April and it didn't have the chrome hoops either. The Quiksilver brochure shows the car with chrome hoops on, unfortunately the brochure's detailed specification of what's included with the car (e.g. quiksilver upholstery, ch...

Sorry to be a cynic  but if this product is so great Carl, I am a natural cynic and the whole point of this thread (as the subject line might indicate) is to see if this product is any good. If I find any problems with the product I will be feeding that back too as I have no axe to grind ...

Just a quick update regarding my ultraseal experiment. The stuff has been in for 3 months now and my wife and I have driven about 1500 miles with the stuff in without any problems. This has included fast country roads and motorway driving (max speed about 80mph as the roof was down  ). The only...

Is the steering column exposed on all 206cc's ?

When I drive my wife's car, the top of my foot touches the steering column and I can feel the column spin as I turn the steering wheel.

I could understand if I had clown feet but I'm only size 8.

I recently bought my wife a 206cc Quiksilver from Randerson Peugeot in Horsforth Leeds. They are a small family dealership and the salesman (Richard) was very helpful. When our car arrived it didn't have the chrome rollover hoops that were on the Quiksilver car featured in the brochure. He chased th...

When we picked up my wife's Quiksilver a couple of weeks ago I complained that it did not have the chrome rollover hoops we were expecting.

The dealer (Randerson of Horsforth in Leeds :D ) got in touch with the factory and they were fitted last Friday and look brill.

Hi Chaos, Nice to know someone else is trying this stuff.

Hi Bri. Regarding knowing if you have had a puncture. When you get a puncture some of the the ultraseal will weep out of the hole as it plugs it and so there will be a tell tale sign of the ultrseal( which is pink) on the tyre.

Update. Received the ultraseal through the post on Friday. It comes in a nice box with instructions and all the bits you need to do it yourself. The process is pretty simple. You jack up the car a bit to take the weight off the tyre. You then remove the inner bit of the tyre valve using a tool they ...

I picked up my wife's quiksilver on Friday and it doesn't have the silver rollover hoops. The dealer said that peugeot had sent out a letter that none of the quiksilver would have them. I kicked up a big stink and they are going to chase it up with the factory. Apart from that it is perfect. I guess...

My wife is picking up her brand new 206cc Quiksilver this afternoon (managed to get it for £13850 from main dealer :D ) I'm a bit concerned about punctures and having spent ages trawling the net I have decided to give a product called ultraseal a go. Please note, I have no idea whether the stuff is...

Thanks for the info everyone. I think we have established that the stuff you get with the car is used after a puncture and only as a temporary fix requiring immediate attention. Now, the stuff I was talking about is put in the tyre before a puncture and lives in there permanantly. It claims to insta...

I thought the goo you get with the car was something you put in the tyre after a puncture so you can get home and then have the tyre fixed/replaced. The goo I have read about should be in the tyre before a puncture and is supposed to seal the tyre leaving you oblivious to the fact you had a puncture...

This is my first post so please be gentle. I've just ordered a 206cc Quiksilver for my wife and have enjoyed reading this very helpfiul forum. Believe it or not, we didn't realise that the 206cc doesn't have a spare wheel. So to the point, has anyone tried using any of the puncture prevention goo yo...
