Re: Peugeot 206cc 2.0 Silver for Sale

Peugot 206cc now sold for the bargain price of £600 to the gentleman who traveled from Exeter. Pity the clutch thrust bearing was making a hideous noise but he got a good car for not much money. What I did learn is how many complete time wasters there are on eBay and Gumtree who make an offer but th...

Re: Peugeot 206cc 2.0 Silver for Sale

I was going to buy a Lotus Elise but my long commute of 200 miles each day stopped that, then I thought of BMW Z3, I had one years ago so knew what to expect, but the Mrs decided we needed more seats so I had to think again. On a whim I bought a BMW 330ci, it's a lovely car. So I now have too many c...

Peugeot 206cc 2.0 Silver for Sale

Open to sensible offers if anyone wants a good car which needs a new clutch (I think), my local mechanic has said it's in really good condition mechanically apart from the clutch which developed the problem just last week: . http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=191111864900 Sugge...

Re: How to: Replace drop links

No marking needed, just make sure you put them in the same way around as the ones you took out.

Re: Rear boot lid section replacement

I just raised the first section of the roof electronically to expose the bolts. Stop it when the lid is vertical. Most people say to never stop the roof mid cycle, however, I've got a hunch that if you continue the open/close cycle in the say direction as you started it will all be okay. I've not ha...

Coolant has a slightly slim feel to it if you get it on your hands.

Re: Is this Forum in Decline?

Compared to other forums this isn't particularly welcoming, the issue I think is that it's effectively run by 2-3 people who are set in their ways, for a forum to really work as a community it needs many more active contributors and a bit of chat and lively debate about all sorts of things, not just...

Re: Reasonable Sony DAB radio??

I wouldn't bother with DAB if I were you, it will work well or not at all. In my experience reception if very poor so won't work most of the time. Depends where you are in the country though. DAB has been a real failure for cars as all the big manufacturers apart from Audi have dropped it as an opti...

My local Peugeot garage referrer to the cc 2.0 as a GTi as it's the same engine as in the early 206 GTi's

Re: Rear boot lid section replacement

I took it all apart on Sunday and had a good look, it's all quite easy to do, the usefull tip is to unbolt the trim that you use to pull the boot up (which has the registration plate lights in) if you remove that then it just comes away with a few bolts. I'll post a How To with pictures when I buy a...

Re: Rear boot lid section replacement

Thanks, I've removed the liner a number of times so that's okay, when it's not raining and it's not dark I'll take a proper look.

Rear boot lid section replacement

Does anyone have any experiance in replacing the upright section of the rear boot lid (the part that holds the number plate) See: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=151143675931&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en I've got a small dent on mine which would...

Re: please help, I lost my ignition key

This may help to make an educated guess: http://www.burningimage.net/rke/ The important thing is that your car is in Indonesia, now, was the car imported originally or was it sold via Peugeot in Indonesia? "In the UK and Europe, RKE key fobs typically transmit on 433.92MHz whilst in the US and ...

Interesting, in real terms the prices you pay in Mexico are 43% cheaper than in the UK!
